You can have regular bleeding that mimicks a period, but it's not a real period. Bleeding from your vagina is only a period if it's the unused egg and uterus lining that is being disposed of. If those things came out when you were pregnant then it would be a miscarriage. Any other bleeding is not called a period, it's just bleeding. About 20% of women experience bleeding in the first trimester, and about half will miscarry, so it's taken seriously and it should be reported to your OB ASAP.

Yes you can. My mother had her period for the first five months of her pregnancy with my brother. Don't let it freak you out or anything. But it is very normal for a woman to still have her period for the first little while. I also had mine for the first two months of my pregnancy. Congrats on your baby ;)

you can bleed, sometimes heavily. So long as there is no pain with it then it is usually ok but always go to hospital if you start bleeding when pregnant. I cant say what the bleeding can be, many reasons, just see a doctor.

You can still have a monthly bleeding, however it is not a period because that implies the lack of a pregnancy and the shedding of the uterine lining.
