It's been so long, I'm not sure, but maybe 14.
I went to the bathroom cause I had a "funny feeling" that wasn't familiar but was in the area of the body where I'd get signals of having to go to the bathroom, but it felt different in a way I couldn't explain.
When I sat on the toilet to pee, I realized what had happened as mom had prepared me by telling me about girls maturing. But I didn't have any supplies nearby. So I wailed "mommmmm". Downstairs dad told mom I could come to her to ask my question. Mom recognized the distress in my voice and said, "no, she needs me to go to her" and she came and brought me what I needed.
Mom's experience was quite different as she was NOT prepared. In HER day, mother's didn't tell their daughters.

im 14 and i just started like 2 months ago! calm down and believe me u so dont want to rush it!!! ugh it sucks!!! but it will come when u least expect it, trust me i got mine the 1 week i was on vacation! its so not fun going to a week camp thing and riding horses on ur period... omg i almost died lol but really dont rush anything i wish i was still 12! i miss being young

I was 12 1/2. It happned out of the blue at home. If I were you I would always carry a pad or tampon in my bag just in case. At least you will be prepared when it does happen.

I didnt get mine until i was 14. All my friends made fun of me and said I wasnt a "woman" yet. Now, Im so happy I didnt have to go through that for years after they did. Even though it does make you feel like more of a woman, its more of a hassle than anything else.

I was 11 and at my grandma's house. She had all her old lady friends over there playing cards. When it came, I screamed and freaked out and had 11 old ladies congratulating me in the hall by the bathroom, how embarrasing!!!!!!!!

I didn't get mine until I was 14 yrs old, so don't worry, everyone is different. Luckily I was at home so it was nothing embarrassing.
