I'm 32 weeks with a boy. For the last few weeks, it feels like he has added "stretching" to his exercise routines... He is head down and LOVES to push his head into my bladder while his butt comes out my right side. I can't do anything about it! I get embarassed in public because my belly becomes SOOO disfigured. Then he usually kicks his feet out the right side of me (not in my ribs at least!) at the same time. It was just happening in the afternoon and evenings, but for the last week or so it seems like it's every day all day long... Has anyone else had this that can relate? Is there anything I can do to get him to change positions a little bit?

Massage your belly or change position is really the only thing I can suggest. Those little ones really do have minds of their own and you really can't change them. Good luck!!!

One of my kids was head down and determined that no one was going to impinge upon her space. So daddy pushed on my tummy, baby socked it. Daddy pushed over here, baby socked it. She either elbowed, kicked, or did something, because she always responded with an answering kick.

Once, maybe 38 weeks or so, Daddy pushed right below my right ribcage. She kicked so hard my husband almost caught her ankle. We tried that for a while, but never did get the whole ankle. Before the end of things, both ankles and feet were in my right ribcage area, taking up lung capacity. I gasped when they removed her, due to the lack of pressure on my ribs. You know how it is when something's pushing you and then suddenly it's gone.

Your little one is going to be a soccer boy, an athlete at least. Why don't you try pinch his little toot next time he decides to stretch (hehe). Head + bladder = not good. Run, Mom, Run.

I don't know how you can change his position. There might be a few Chinese finger exercises that would turn him. If you're interested, e-mail me.

This is probably more like your experience: when my daughter was around 6 months, she turned herself. All the sudden her head was out my left side, feet on right--completely sideways. I felt like exploding. Fond memories for me. I'm waiting for grandkids now. This baby is 21 and graduating college in December.

not much you can do about it. looks like yer gonna have an active little boy! my son was pretty wild inside of me and he's 13 months now and "bounces off the walls" that's what my mom said I used to and she says my son seems more wild than I was!
have you seen the imprint of his foot yet? that's a real treat!
sorry i couldn't help : (
