I was just curious because I have heard that it is more likely the baby will survive being born at 7 months into a pregnancy than it is for them to be born at 8 months pregnant is this true? I know the safest way to go is all the way to the 40wks or at least get to 37wks but its just curiosity thats all. I just keep hearing it but no one can give me an explanation. I want to ask my Dr. but my appt. is on Friday so I was hoping maybe someone might know. thanks alot.

I dont "feel pregnant" I can sometimes feel what could be very small movements but other then that I feel normal...is that normal?

If you get a bunch of newborn size stuff, is it wrong to exchange it for bigger sizes? I'm not sure why people like to buy a lot of cute newborn size clothes. Babies don't fit into them for long.

What about exchanging things people bought you that were similar to the items you put on your registry, but a different brand? I put certain bouncers and certain bedding and such because they match the house decor... I feel guilty to exchange them though. What is the proper etiquitte?

I have a light pain in my stomach that doesn't go away and I have no idea what it is. It feels more like gas pains than any thing else but I haven't got gas or don't need to go to the toilet. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and the pain has only been there for the past week and some time makes it hard for me to move my legs. I have no spotting so i'm not scared of miscarriage and it's not a cramp like pain any way. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow should I mention it to them and see if they know any thing or wait til I go to my dr 4 days later? I'm just confused as to what it is... any help would be appreciated :)

Is this wierd that my twins ( 2 girls ) are both down sindrom. I am 26 years old and i am 8 months pregnant. My husband and i found out yesterday. We were suprised that they are both down sindrom. Does anyone have any down sindrom kids or knows some1 down sindrom? I need advice.

Ok, so I have heard you should eat 300 extra calories per day when you are pregnant. Does this mean you should eat 600 calories per day when you are pregnant with twins? 900 with triplets? Just wondering.....I am 36 weeks pregnant with one baby but I don't really eat any more than I did before I was pregnant.

Last time I wrote here I had just gone through a miscarriage, I am now approx. 7 weeks pregnant again and I am worried.

I am experiencing cramping throughout my abdominon which come and go as well as my lower back is killing me. I have also just noticed some blood (brownish and very faint that I barely notice it).

I havent had a pregnancy test or gone to the doctors yet as I am worried that I will jinx it and something will go wrong again.

All these symptoms/signs are stressing me out and I am really worried that I could miscarry again.

Does anyone have any advise?

the average ratio for me should be, according to my gyno, around 1/1050. he isnt advising me to do it and says the chance of having a ds baby is still pretty low! my husband thinks the same, because he wouldnt want me to have an abortion in case it turns out positive! i dont know what i d do if it turns out positive. i am really confused.
on the other hand the doctor said that he could clearly see the nasal bone and thats a good sign that the baby is normal! do u think that all of the above is reliable enough?? or should i go for the amnio test?

My sister wants to be there, but I never see her (and she lives 5 minutes away). She is always with her boyfriend who doesn't want to be around us. She does not always pick up her phone (because she is with him.... etc. etc.) I feel like I cannot count on her.

A doula? Expensive ... but possibly.

My mom? My mom can be very mean, and I don't want her to be rude to the doctor and/or nurses. She is usually mean to everyone ... and at that time, I don't think I could handle it.

Any advice?

i have a friend who is 38wks pregnant and has been looking on the net and trying to find ways to get baby out and speed up the labor process. Ive told her that sex, nipple stimulation and just stuff ive read as well... she looked up her own stuff to such as walking up stairs and she even told me drinking a glass of wine on occasion..... im almost 39wks. pregnant and im just wondering if drinking one glass of wine is harmful mor if it really can help spped things up....... i also hear spicy food helps too.
