I don't wear any, my husband did all the cleaning during my first pregnancy, and he's doing it again with this one. He doesn't want me around any cleaners.

I never wore rubber gloves, but I was at work I was using window cleaner, I think, to clean my desk area and the girl beside me was like "what are you doing, your pregnant...blah....!!!!" I had no idea. But yes, try to avoid breathing in ANY chemical fumes, and I do not know about rubber gloves, but chemicals that are on your skin can soak into your blood stream, so just to be cautious maybe you should.

I used a lot of vinegar and hot water to do the cleaning and very rarely messed with any chemicals...except bleach occasionally for the bathroom and only then when it was well ventilated...in fact that's what I still use mostly it just makes sense for my health and the health of my family...not to mention the environment.
I did wear a mask for cleaning the litter box although both my cats had been tested, it just made me nervous.

I just clean without gloves, unless its bleach, comet, or something harsh like those chemicals. If I use those, I just wear rubbermaid dishwashing gloves (you know the big yellow ones) Other than that I just make sure to wash my hands every so often while I clean, so the products dont soak into my skin.

I didn't use anything I just cleaned. I didn't clean the bathroom though I left that to my husband since the cleaners in there seem to be more strong than the others.

No, It would be one thing if you had long term exposure to chemicals but cleaning the bathroom once a week is not gonna hurt you. If you are cleaning the shower and the smells strong open a window.

The smell of cleaning supplies didn't make me sick. I use mostly cleaners made by Method and that might have made a difference. None of those items have a strong chemical smell. It was food smells and strong perfumes that made me nauseous.

You can use products without chemicals like vinegar and baking soda with water. I still clean everything usually but my husband helps me with the bathroom and the kitchen sink. Its good for him too!
