Hey, just wanted to say I definitely emphasize with what you have been going through.. I was sick the first five months of my pregnancy, and have been getting sick here and there the last month of it. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant.
Some things that I would suggest, that usually worked for me in the beggining was eating half an hour before I got out of bed, things like gingerale, saltine crackers, pop tarts and dry toast. Also throughout the day I'd try to eat something very small every 1-1 1/2.
Now coming towards the end of my pregnancy I still try to eat small amounts of food every 2-3 hours and I try to stay away from very greasy and fatty foods, especially because I get horrible heart burn, which than causes nausea for me. Try eatings things like a salad with light dressing.. Just try eating healthy foots, even if you are craving something very rich and greasy like I do most days. I end up having a way better day if I try to do these things and not give in to my temptations too much.
About the braxton hicks contractions, I'd talk to your doctor. I doubt that braxton hicks contractions cause some one to go into labor, but if your before 37 weeks and you're getting them a lot and they are pretty intense I'd definitely just give your doctor a heads up. If your really worried, try to change your activity when you do keep getting them. I notice I get them when I stay very active.. I don't know how it is for it.. But I've been trying to stay active! I'm actually 3cm dialated and am ready to go!!!
Good luck with everything.

I feel your pain.
Crackers never personally worked for me. When I am nauseated and on the brink of throwing up, the last thing I want to do is make my already dry mouth suffer eating dry crackers. That just makes me want to gag all that much more.
What did work for me was bagels with cream cheese. It can be any flavor any kind.. but the cream cheese helped relieve the dryness of the bread and the bread helped balancing out the stomache acids.
Grilled cheese sandwhiches also worked for me, and YOGURT was a life saver. Also mints mints mints ! I ate so many mints my head could spin but they really do help calm your stomache. Tastes just like a candy cane.
If all else fails cuddle up with your favoriot blanket and movie and get some rest! Drink lots of fluids!! Dehyderation can make you feel worse!

These are the things that helped me... saltine crackers, hard candy, and a small amount of juice (not all at the same time) but the juice was especially helpful if the nausea got really bad. And the hard candy I just kept with me all the time so that I could eat it all day whenever I needed to.

When I felt sick, I would drink a glass of gingerale and eat some saltine crackers...it helped quite a bit. I had nausea for about 5 months...good luck! It'll soon end with the nausea.

Vitamin B helped me a lot, and I also bought some ginger root from the store, cut it in pieces and made a tea out of it. I also went to a Motherhood Maternity store, and they had these candies called Preggie Pop Drop, and they work wonders when I am just waking up in the mornings......

I was puking sick through my entire pregnancy with my son. I found that the hard candy Sprees were the only thing that settled it. I know it sound silly and I asked my doctor what the deal was. She said that the sour part of sprees makes you produce extra saliva and the saliva settles the acids in your belly because its a base. It is part of the digestive system.
THANK GOD FOR SPREES!!!!

I have been having the same problems & have found that anything with a minty flavor from brushing my teeth to chewing gum to peppermint tea really seems to help.
Good luck & congratulations!
