Pregnancy - September 2007

I got a very positve (like not faint at all) today. I just got off birth control and am late for my period. I am scared I'll still start my period. YOu know like a chemical pregnancy. Has anyone else felt like this? When did you test again? I think I'll test again tomorrow. And then go to the doctor? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm looking for a natural way to start labor. I have been told that castor oil works but that is harmful to the baby. I have tried walking and riding in a car on bumpy roads. This only made me uncomfortable. Sex has not worked either. Any other suggestions?

Hi all. so i found out im about 6 weeks pregnant. I am going to be having an abortion ( i just need to schedual it lol) I am just not sure if i should tell my ex (who would be the father). What do u think should i tell him or no????

I am 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and no baby. I think she's never going to come out. What's up with all the tenderness down there. It's only bad when I first wake up in the morning or try to turn over in bed. I'm a cm dialated and still very thick. No braxton hicks contractions so far. Did any of you other mommies go anywhere near your due date? I heard only 5% go on there due date and 80% go 2 weeks early or late. So far this pregnancy has been a complete breeze. Pregnancy is really easy. Just want to know if you other mommies knew when it was time and also your stories of your experiences.

I have tried everything. This is my second pregnancy and I dont remember being this uncomfortable with my first. I have not gained nearly as much weight as last time. Why am I so miserable? Is the baby as uncomfortable as I am?

so i had my "big us" measuring at 18weeks&5days. we were told by the sonographer that it would be a boy but when we took home to the pictures..we realized that the so called penis was half our baby's leg. could the sonographer have been wrong?

I know it's generally safe to have sex while pregnant. However, I'm only 4 weeks and I'm afraid to have sex this early. Should I wait a certain period of time before having sex, or is it totally safe?

I know the exact date of conception because it could not have happened any other day - January 21st. First day of last period was Jan 9. My OB/GYN originally said i was due Oct 17. My first child was an emergency c-section, so on her advise I have scheduled an elective c-section on Oct 11. my last appt was friday Sept 14, and she said she felt the baby's head and I could be "short-timing it" as she put it. Yesterday (9/15) I felt what i thought were braxton-hicks, and my mom felt my tummy when it was clenched up, and agreed with me. I have not been able to put on any of my maternity pants anymore because she is so low between my legs. I can't even bring my legs together unless I squeeze them closed. I haven't felt any more braxton-hicks today. Just have a gut feeling that something will happen before the scheduled date of Oct 11. Want to know people's guesses about when to expect it, what to expect, and why you think that.... call it curiosity.

i have always wanted a homebirth, but with my first i had to be stared off, so had to stay in hospital, but with my second, i had a sweep, i went into labour naturally 2 days later, called a midwife out and she sed i wasnt in labour, anyhow, i felt i needed to go to hospital for a check an houir later after a show and she sed all ok, i went into full labour 1 hour after got to hospital, gave birth, and bled to death nearlly, (it was new years eve, and the midwife had a drink, she left part of the placenter in so my womb couldnd contract, i had to go theater, anyway, now they saying i can never have a homebirth due to the loss of blood?, through no fault of my own?? can i still insist in a homebirth?

Question 1: We're trying not to get our hopes up because it was difficult with the ultrasound. The baby has the cord in between the legs. The dr stated that the child had more tissue near in between the legs, so he's assuming its a little boy. Does anyone know what he means by *extra tissue*? Is he referring to penis, balls, fluid in the balls or what? He also stated that little girls DO NOT have this. So for now, we're going with a boy.

Question 2: Toward the beginning of pregnancy, it was very disappointing since I wasn't gaining any weight. I kept eating, taking vitamins, and all that. All what the dr told me to do. I'm 5 months (20 weeks as of Sept 12) and the last appointment I gained 2 lbs. Within 20 weeks of pregnancy, I've only gained 2 lbs! My stomach is flat, doesn't puff out or look like a watermelon (like my sisters did with two girls), so did any of you have a flat effect when having your little boy? No stomach sticking out or little sticking out? Is this just generally a stated give away its a boy like the dr is saying?

Okay, I took a test when I was 5 DPO (Im a pee stick addict) and I got nothing (negitive).. I did 6 dpo and I got A very light line.. I did 7 dpo and I got this! I peed on it and in 1 min I got white line were positive should be, and in 3 mins I got a very very light pink as big as control line. Then in 10 mins looked like this!!!.. What do you think?

I take ortho tri cyclen lo, however 4 times this month (in the past 2 weeks of this pack) i have forgotten to take my pill, and take it when i remember, which is usually the next day during the late afternoon (i'm suppost to take them 10pm each night). anyway my bf and i dont use any other form of protection and he doesnt pull out, im wondering what my chances of pregnancy are? this is only the fourth month that i've been taking them. If Im on tri cyclen lo does that mean i have to be extremely careful about taking my pills at the same time, bc there are less hormones? The past couple of days, I've been feeling nauseated and turned off my certain things, obviously I know that it would be to soon to experience that, but i am concerned that i may be pregnant.

I feel and poke at my tummy a lot (not too hard) and can sometimes move the baby over a ways. I am 34 wks prego and was just wondering if it could hurt her in anyway? Also can she feel when i rub my tummy and put vit. E and lotion on, she seems to move around a lot then?

Let me start off with I am seeing the doctors tomorrow, I could not get in before to see her, so please do not reply with go see your doctor! I took three pregnancy tests all with a faint positive....I was 90% sure I was pregnant and as I mentioned above I made an appt with my doctor, but I could not get in earlier. On friday I started to bleed heavy with some minor cramping (usual for a period) If I was/am pregant I probably would have only been a couple of weeks (2-4) My bleeding lasted two days and has now stopped....is this normal? Did I miscarrie??? I just want some of your oppinions before I go see my doctor tomorrow morning ( I alreay spoke to her she said it could be anything, she'll tell me when I go to see her and she runs tests) Me and my husband have been trying for awhile, and I was on depo (last shot January, and have had normal periods) I have heard that it can cause miscarriages in some woman, I have never had one so I need a personal oppinion before a professional!

I also get really tired, and I have heart palpatations...Now once I eat again it seems to subside so now I eat everytime it happens but I was wondering if it was something to be concerned about. This never happen with my other two pregnancies so I'm confused. My next ob appt. is in two weeks so I will bring this to there attention but I was looking for some answers until then. I'm not hungry when this happens, but eating seems to fix it for the most part.

I've been married for 4 years now and my husband and I are not trying to have a baby as of yet. I got married when I was 18, so I was very young. People (and by people, I mainly mean my parents) claim that it's not good to wait too long to have your first child because it can be harder to conceive. I feel like they are only saying so, so that they can have grandchildren. Is what they're saying true? And what is the proof of this?

I know that it's not good to wait too long, therefore, we want to have all our kids before I'm 30, hopefully. Right now, I'm 22.
