so i had my "big us" measuring at 18weeks&5days. we were told by the sonographer that it would be a boy but when we took home to the pictures..we realized that the so called penis was half our baby's leg. could the sonographer have been wrong?

I'd trust what the sonographer said. In our pictures the umbilical cord actually looks like bubbles, there was no mistaking it for a body part. Our little guy's penis looks pretty big in his picture too.

From my profession you are having a boy. But, you will most likely have another US and it will be clearer--just make sure you tell the tech to double ck on the next one. then I would start gearing up for a boy--but, if i saw those and it was my child I would of already starting thinking of boy themes. Your little one is not just well endowed already---lol. When you give birth remember it will be swollen too so I don't want you to think that it is overly big then either. enjoy, good luck and best wishes.

It appears to me in the first picture that the baby's leg on the right side (as you look at the photo) is bent, so that you can see the knee. This makes the thigh bone look shorter and looks like the length of the penis. But no, your son isn't miraculously well endowed! :)

I am in no way an expert, but after looking at both photos I would agree with the tech. Congrats it looks like you are having a boy!! Good Luck.

The second pic you posted I could see better..If you look at it you can see the two legs and the penis in between...I think you're having a boy..

EDIT-But then again I am no technician...
They generally know what they're doing...

i see nothing. but dont worry your self love.. you will the second scan and take it from there.
most of all .. really every child is a blessing....think about all the women out there who have lost some and those who are longing for just one...
