I know what you are going through, I had exactley the same problem at 26,27 and I'm now in my 28th week and still have it, the difficulty in breathing should come and go.
It's funny how our bodies will tell us if we need to rush to ER. Sometimes it's a lot of peoples answers on here and if I rushed to hospital every time I had an issue I would be living in the hospital, try to relax and take it easy. I found this hard when I was at work but you and baby come first b4 your job.
If it continues on throughout the night call a midwife at your hospital, that's what they are there for and provide a lot of support.
Good luck and I'm just ahead of you going through the same thing. I can bet you that baby is a LOT more comfortable than you are ;)

At about this time your uterus is going to tilt back a bit to accommodate the extra space it needs for growing the baby.
You baby isn't hurt at all. The first thing your body does is protect the baby. Every effort is made to keep the baby in a healthy environment. For instance- if you have a high fever...your body will keep the amniotic fluid the right temperature- and the fever affects you but not the baby. Also nutritionally - the body gives the nutrients to baby....more the reason to eat healthy.
All I can say is get lots of pillow and prop yourself in the bed or on the couch. And hope that your uterus settles in a space where you feel like you can breath again.

Oh hun it only gets better from here. The baby probably feels better then your first child did at this stage. There is more room to move around inside of you since those muscles have already been stretched out once. This means that little imp has a greater ability to push up into your chest and make it impossible to breath. I've found the easiest way to breath when baby is shoving into my chest was to sit reclining so gravity will help keep baby out of your chest...Also massaging downwards on your belly to encourage the baby to shift around may help. The good news is in a few weeks here baby should flip head down for you which means not as much of baby is shoving into your chest...but you will be running to the bathroom more.

This is my second pregnancy too and I feel the exact same way. I had sever shortness of breath and come to find out my iron was low, which also caused other complications and symptoms. Also the baby and uterus is pushing on other organs and making it harder to breath, nothing you can do about that, but if you think it is out of the normal, you might want to mention it to your doctor and get her to check your iron, and provide a supplement, it has helped me allot. Good luck

The baby is completely comfortable as long as your ultrasound shows that you have enough "water" in there.
Your shortness of breath is likely due to the way the baby is laying and will probably subside after he/she moves. As your due date gets closer and the baby starts to drop your breathing will dramatically improve. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do except wait it out.

my doc says to lay on your left side and relax, if you have a pregnancy pillow, prop it under your belly, if not a soft pillow will help also. im sure your baby is a lot more comfortable than you are.
