i went out with my boyfriend and we had sex on 2/23/07but the date that the doctor is giving me do not sound right for my due date to be 11/18/07

The due date is not based on when you actually had sex, it is based on your last period...
How Is My Expected Date of Delivery Determined?

First day of last menstrual period: Febuary 11, 2007
Estimated date of conception: Sunday, February 25, 2007
End of 1st trimester (12 weeks): Sunday, May 6, 2007
End of 2nd trimester (27 weeks): Sunday, August 19, 2007
Estimated Due Date: November 18, 2007
Even though you had sex on the 23rd you may have not gotten pregnant until the 25th like this states above.
Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to six days — possibly seven. That's why most pregnancies result from fertilization by sperm that have been waiting in a woman's reproductive tract days before the release of her egg — ovulation — takes place.

that sounds about right i got 11/16/07 but thats fairly close. think about it..you have to add 38 weeks to the 2/23/07 date...or 40 weeks to the first day of your period that you had before you got pregnant.

That sounds about right, I believe I conceived on the 17th of that month and my due date is the 14th of November.

you cant go by the day you had sex cause sperm lives inside you for up to 5 days. the doc goes by the first day of your last period so try doing the math again using that date also i go to google search and type in am i pregnant and they have a calender chart that will tell you good luck to you

That would be 9months.That's about how long you will be pregnant .its not always exact.they maybe a little off on the date .but that's normal.

hi there, ive made that out as you would only be pregnant for 36weeks. maybe you didnt concieve when you think you did.
