Depends whether you will be breastfeeding or bottle feeding? I dont drink at all when I breastfeed but some women I know just express milk and drink and then dont feed the baby for 12 hours after they've stopped drinking.
If you're bottle feeding it depends on when you want to? I have a friend that drank 2 days after her baby was born because she was bottlefed and went to stay with Grandma...
I guess it comes down to personal choice doesnt it.......

They SAY you can have ONE serving of alcohol and be safe clear through pregnancy, however its still poor practice since different amounts effect different women more or less.

Drinking enough to feel it is not good once you know you're pregnant, as by that point the baby needs all the nutrients that alcohol leeches out of your system and away from them.

However, the placenta is not functional until 8 weeks in most cases, which means the baby does not share your blood until then. So if you got hammered before you realized you were pregnant you're alright.

Well congrats on the baby news......you cant drink until after the birth and if you are planning to breast feed then u have to wait till you arent breast feeding anymore.....or until you only feed like once or twice a day......although i do urge not to dismiss breast feeding as it is great if it works for you....its free and very convienient......never have to make bottle when out in public or at home.....anyway good luck with the birth and the bub

Right after if you aren't going to breast feed. I am going to breast feed and I still am going to have a few drinks a week, however, but ideally you shouldn't.

If you are not breast feeding, you can drink whenever after your baby is born.
