i went for my last scan on monday and they couldnt tell me what the baby was and i really wanted to find out if it was a boy or a girl..you know that people say you can tell what your having most of the time because of the shape of your bump etc..what other things is there to look for if you know what i mean??? x

My best friend is 6 months pregnant and is having a few scares. She has recently been passing blood clots. When it happens she calls the Dr. and she just tells her to go to the emergency room/labor and delivery. Once she gets there, they monitor her and she is just fine and dandy. They just say "if it happens again, come back". Well it has been happening but they don't tell her the possibilites of what could be happening or why its happening. Has anyone gone though this? Also, she had some milky white stuff drop down while she was in the restroom. It happened twice, she went to the emergency room, they did the test to see if it was the amniotic fluid, and it was incunclusive. The stick should have been blue, hers was blueish green.NEED SOME HELP!!

Me and my partner had unprotected sex today for the first time (it's been about 8 hrs since now) and i am worried. My last month period started on the 27th and ended around the 1st. Am I in the safe zone? Also, what contraceptives can i use to prevent pregnancy , since I know I can take a pill upto 72 hrs after the act. Which pill can be suggested in a country like India.

What does this mean. He is in the 95th percentile in height, head circumference, abdominal girth. I am also measuring about 37weeks in fundus height. I know my menstral date was correct. Should I be worried because he is large for gestational age?

I'm almost 9 weeks with twins (which I know automatically puts me at "high risk"), and my OB wanted me to set up an appointment with a perinatologist at 20 weeks. The perinatologist's office wants to get me in at 15 weeks. Anyone have any experience on what to expect?

Ok... This whole PGcy My Abdomen has been as hard as a rock. It feels as tho my tummy is going to pop at any minute, solid. Uo until now... I got up to get the phone and it felt funny. Kind of limp... so I felt it and it is sqwishy. I can push my fingers into it and it has alot of give.Its the same way below my belly button...
Is it just me?
Did the baby just change position or something?
Does this mean she dropped?

I am High risk due to Incompadent Cervix... so I dont want to call and bother my OB If I dont have to.
33 weeks so she has been head down for a few weeks now.

i have another question, sorry for all you guys that read all my questions lol... but i forgot to ask this one in my last question. ok i am currently 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and i have been dialateing and all, i have been haveing tons of lower back pains and tons of cramping, with very few accual contractions, i talked to my doc about the cramping and she tested me for UTI, came out neg. but my acual question was, i havent lost my mucus plug yet and i was wandering if was suppost to loose it at a certain or it i could end up keeping it until i accually go into active labor, or what. my doc has mentioned it to me but didnt say if i was suppost to loose it already... if i can get any help that would be great, thanks....

again, im not freaking out just curious is all! :)

I am 31 weeks pregnant and my midwife tells me that I have high protien in my urine. She says she is not concerned beacuse my blood pressure is normal. Can I control the protien in my urine through diet or is this a normal occurance in pregnancy ? Is there anything I can do to stop is gettting worse or improving it ?

I went to my doctor and they took my weirght and I lost another 2 pounds. I eat lots of Rice (I'm spanish so its part of almost every dinner) and lots of pastas, i dont have a seet tooth but have been eating donughts after lunch. my last period was Dec 30th till the 3rd. My ovulation period was the 10-14 of Jan and the 11th i had sex becuase i am ttc. My next period is January 28th and my periods are like clock work and are very 29 days and have been for ever it seems like. Well two days ago i got a rather werid period that lasted 7 hours and was a rusty brown color and then was gone. Then yesterday my husband and i Had sex and after sex i had a pink discharge that turned to a brown discharge and is now gone. Someone told me that after 4 months, I shouldn't raise my hands over my head because the umbillical cord could get wrapped around the baby's neck. It sounds bizarre to me, but I thought I would check just to be safe. Thanks!

How do doctors determine how far along you are? When do they count from? The first day of ur last period or? I wouldn't think that they would count from ovulation because not everyone knows when they ovulate.... plz help, thanks!

My hubby and I have been TTC. I know it can take 6-12 months normally but I was wondering if anyone had any tips. We used the ovulation predictor kit a few times. I am a healthy eater and I exercise daily. Just let me know if anything worked for you. Change in diet, exercise, etc... Thanks!

Just here to get some opinions. I actually think I'm ovulating because its about that time, but not only am I having the usual ovulation cramps I am also having hunger pains like I did when I was pregnant the first time. Could hunger be a sympton of ovulation? Or could it be possible that I'm feeling this way because I want to be pregnant?
