Pregnancy - January 2007

It boggles my mind why a woman that is pregnant would rather ask total strangers a medical question, then ask her OBGYN or MD. Why do then want to trust total strangers rather then trust a trained medical professional? Do they really want to trust their baby's health to a stranger? MY wife is pregnant and I personally would never trust my unborn childs health to a stanger on the net.

The week I found out I was preg, and the week following up to that one, I had symptoms. Cramping, Swollen tender breasts and nipples, neausea.... this week I don't really feel anything but fatigue around 6 or 7pm each night. This is my first pregnancy. Should I be worried? I feel like I should be having more symptoms than just being tired.

I went for my dr apt yesterday.he did his Normal routine stuff, then he went to measure my fundal (uterus) height. He says i measure 18-19 weeks, but im only 14 almost 15 weeks along. They sent me for an ultrasound, and the baby measures right on target...what would cause my uterus to be so large? There's definately only 1 baby in there. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is my baby ok? I wont get my results til monday, so i am just really curious to find out whats going on....

I'm 31 1/2 weeks pregnant, and I'm getting a lot of annoying comments - from complete strangers! A typical conversation goes like this:
"Are you having twins? You're HUGE!"
"No, it's just one in there."
"Then you must be due any day now!"
"Not quite... I'm due in March."
The stranger then proceeds to touch my belly and ask if the baby is kicking right now. This happened three times yesterday! This is a picture, I really don't think I'm overly big for how far along I am:

How do I...
a.) Handle these comments?
b.) Prevent these comments from happening in the future?
c.) Keep them from touching my belly?

Last night I had sex and I am on the pill, one pill away from my first month, and one day away from the green pills. I have taken the pills the same time each day never missing one. I used spermicide and a condom. During sex the condom slipped off, we didn't know it, and he came inside of me. Today I am using the Morning After Pill just in case. How worried should I be about getting pregnant?

Im 19 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and was wondering if you can get braxton hicks at 19 weeks or is it to early? Because i would say about 3 times a week i get this really bad pains in my lower abdominal which are like labour pains that that bad i have rang the midwife at the hospital and she said because im not bleeding everythink is more then likely ok. i go for my 20 week scan on the 31st and scared incase they say somethink is wrong and i worrying over tnothink or do you think i sould get it checked out asap?

Did you have PMS like symptoms? Any dry cramping? Any subtle changes in the body? My appetite has increased a LOT in the past couple of weeks, and the bf and I had sex at least 5 times during the week of ovulation. Just wondering if there are early signs (other than the typical sore breasts, etc. that everyone writes about).

When ever I lie flat my heart starts beating hard like it wants to leap out of my chest, it feels as if my whole upper body is being shaken with each beat, I feel it in my arms and back and even the tops of my thighs! It is not painful or uncomfortable but it is a bit weird and alarming! It's been going on for a few days, has anyone else had this? I have heard palpitations are normal now and again in pregnancy but I don't remember getting them to this extent in my last pregnancy. I am waiting for a midwife to call me back but I am too impatient as you can see.

I am 32 weeks and 2 days pregnant and i have these extremley bad pains shooting from one side of my ribs to the other i have asked my gp what it is but he cant quite figure out what is going on when i get the pains i seem to get bad palputations in my chest and get it hard to catch my breath. i also have been an in patient in hospital because of these pains and they gave me steroid injections to mature babys lungs incase of early arrival. i seem to be gettin a lot of braxton hicks and extremely large flows of discharge where i actually feel i have wet myself what can this mean

I had sex 10 days ago, with a condom on he didnt ***, but he mithg of precum, but for sure he was wearing a condom, and he wasnt in me for long , now i am worried i might be prganat, its the 20 and i ahdnt got my period and i dont remember the last time i had it, sometime in late december, but i dont know if i am getting this syntoms because i am woried and scared or i am really am pregnat, i am also scare to take a test. my syntoms are having cramps juts like i am going to get my period for 4 days and i hadnt got it yet, hungry every other hour, sort of peeing like 7 times a day with out drinking water that much, stomach aches just like if i am really hungry, pian in my lower right , and mood swings, not sleepy, sometimes when i feel hungry i feel like throing up, but i havent, muscle ache, thast my symptoms, GET back AT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!

I was still shocked at first but now reality has sunk in im filled with utter dread its making me feel so depressed. I dont no how ill cope im only 23 part way thru my degree. The babies dad isnt happy about all of this and i cant rely on him. I feel so stupid for gettin myself in this position, my instinct is to abort this pregnancy but i feel so evil when i think about it.
Has anyone else shared these feelings at all??

If you and your partner had sex for the first time(for you it was the first time ever), you knew you were extremely small there, and he tried so hard to get in, sure a little blood from the irritation.

You didn't feel him ejaculate but could you still get pregnant if he didn't get past that little wall?

I am in my 19th week.Yesterady I went to Emergency due to the fat I had discharge of birght burgubdy coloured blood.Blood test came back find except I had a slight rise in white cell count.A uring sample was taken I don't find out till today.The ultrasound lab was closed so I have to go back today.The doppler showed the baby's heart rate to be fine at 154.(thank God)Today I have the ultrasound at 1pm.I did loose twin B at 9 weeks.At the hospital the nurse told me theu consider anyone with twins who lost one prior high risk.My doctor is afraid if his receptionist who is not a registered nurse even.My appt on Monday when I advised himhow I was feeling she interupted and screamed me out in the office ( how embarrasing ) that I am making a big deal over my pregnancy and no one has pains while sitting( I beg to differ I have been having them all through out periodically in my pregnancy.) my doctor is suppose to be the best in Toronto,but my hubby says we need a new gyno now!!!!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I've been experiencing cramps on the lower right side of my abdomen when I walk every once in a while (for about a month and a half). My doctor said this is normal. However, last night I started experiencing really bad cramps on the whole right side from my rib cage down. The cramps were so bad that I could barely walk. It was not gas and I did not have any spotting, but it lasted through the night. It's better this morning, but the cramping is still there and it continues to be on the whole right side. Is this normal?
