As long as you have a heartbeat you are doing well. As for your doctor...sometimes the best in their field have a really poor bedside manner. There is no excuse for his receptionist to be yelling at you. Get through the next little bit (you don't need the stress of finding a new doctor until you know what's going on with the baby). Talk to your doctor about how you were treated and if he doesn't give you a heartfelt apology and assure you that it won't happen again....find a new one.

Good luck...and to answer your first question yes and she's five and doning great in school!

Hi,your drs receptionist sounds such a honey!!!To anser your question though.YES.
I had a large bright bleed at 20 weeks with my 4th pregnancy,I had lost the third at 14 weeks. I ended up a patient in the maternity ward I was meant to be working in that morning! I had an ultrasund that showed a tiny edge of the placenta had lifted and caused the bleeding.I spent the next 2 weeks in hospital on bedrest.went home for 2 weeks agian bled and stayed another week in hospital.I had another week bedrest at home, then jsut took it as easy as I could with 2 toddlers LOL I was scared until 28 weeks when(15 yearsago)I knew bub was fingers crossed ok if born.I was allowed to travel after 28 weeks.
I was induced as the Dr considered me high risk because of the bleed.Bub had a monitor on his head during delivery and I wan't allowed the new swanky birthing room, but the labour ward.Everyhting went smoothly and for all that worrry he is now a strapping young man of 15.
I wish you luck.I lost a cup of blood at the time, and flet like I had been run over by a truck whcih my dr said it was the equivalent of.I was aneamic for a while after, but iron tabs did the trick.

It sounds like you do need a new GYN. Them seem to be quite unprofessional. Don't take chances with that bundle of joy. If you are high risk, your visits should be more frequent so that they can continuously monitor your condition. I have know women to have bleeding and the baby is born healthy. Maybe a little premature, but healthy. I'm sorry you lost a twin. Get lots of rest, eat right, and stay calm.

wow... your doctor's receptionist sounds psychotic or something. Either that, or she was just looking for a reason to yell at someone. Your doctor really needs to get rid of her haha You never said what your doctor said though. If he says you're high risk for an unsuccessful pregnancy, then talk to him about your options and ways to lower that risk and raise your chances for a successful one! But if you ever get a bad feeling about him or he doesn't take good care of you or doesn't listen to you or anything, FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. Patients sometimes have a hunch that something is going on, and when their doc says it's nothing, they drop it, and then it turns out something really is going on. Sorry for not really answering the question. I just, wanted to share my second-hand experience. My mom's had breast cancer 6 times, and once or twice, the doctor couldn't even find it, and one time refused to listen, but she persisted and they caught it early.
