I'm at the stage where I need to pick a hospital to deliver. My due date is still 7 months away, so I'm just looking for some opinions of hospitals around the Atlanta, Georgia area. What do you guys think of Northside, Emory, St. Josephs, Kennestone, etc. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks:)

Piedmont is the best...with Emory a close second. Northside and St Joseph's are both pretty good. Don't know about any of the others...except you want to avoid Grady at all costs.
Good luck!

i had two fabulous experiences at North Fulton Regional. It isn't the baby factory that Northside is, so I got great care (there were only 4-5 babies there max each time). It was clean and the staff were great and the rooms were nice (hubby was comfortable on the pullout, too!).

Most of my friends have had theirs at Northside, and the service/staff are great and the rooms are nice. But it's crowded and lacks some of the individualized attention you can get a smaller facilities. I would suggest it if you were a high-risk pregnancy, though.

Bottom line is probably to pick which hospital your doctor is at. that's probably going to give you the biggest comfort factor.

Good luck!

Grady Memorial Hospital provides the most excellent obstetrical care anywhere they can handle any emergency and were very friendly when I was there.

I like Kennestone but then again I don't have any experience with any of the other hospitals. Congrats!!
