i am trying to figure out if it has really worked for somebody. and if anybody has tried it, did effectively work for you and did u see any side effects.

I had Mirena implanted after a year and a half on Depo. Depo made me gain a lot of weight because the hormones are spread throughout the body, but I picked Mirena because the hormones are focused on the uterus. I didn't gain any weight with it and loved it. I didn't lose my periods altogether, but they went from six days down to three. However, two months before it was due to be changed, I got pregnant. Apparently I waited too close to the five years to change it and the hormones wore out. I would recommend it to anyone, and would actually use it again after this baby's born in August. I've just learned my lesson to change it sooner.

I have been using the mirena for about two years now, and i love it. Every woman is different and should really think about what is best for themselves. In my case I hate shots (depo) and i always forget to take the pills, so Mirena was my choice. I have not had a period in about a year and a half ( what a blessing) and honestly i havent had any of the other side effects.

I been using it for a year. I got preg with my daughter on the pill, 6 months after her I was preg with my son I was on the pill. it been a year and no baby no side affect. It works well for me.
