It will go when its ready unfortunately pregnancy's are all different if they were all the same you would prebook hospital stay no one would get a 3 am phone call. Believe me when it happens you will know. With one of my children mine went and my daughter was born in under 24 hours I went to the hospital they sent me home. I went back they were about to discharge me I asked to stay so they offered pain killers so they had to check me again and the nurse changed colours put me in a wheel chair and RAN me to delivery.
With my son (number 2 child and last) It was 4 days of labour AFTER my water broke with contractions never getting closer than 5 minutes apart! I was discharged from the hospital 5 times and I was so scared because the first had been so fast. The contractions just got stronger. People in the delivery room beside me couldn't figure out why I was in there because they could hear me and were like this woman has a long way to go whats going on?Then they heard a baby cry. The mother was a nurse and said she had never heard of anything like it.

Usually after the loss of the mucus plug it's around 72 hours that labor begins.

You don't have to lose your mucus plug before you go into labor. Good luck and happy pushing!

you can keep the mucus plug in you till you break your water.. then it HAS to come out so the water can come out that way too.. but don't worry about it.. there is not time period or order in witch the mucus plug has to come out.. and good luck with the new baby!
