I am 22 yrs old and I had a child at the age of 18 that pregnancy went perfect. My boyfriend have been trying for a second child. For 3 years I was on the depo shot and stopped it in Aug 06 and went on birthcontrol pills in Aug and September 06. I didn't get a period for 5 months and then I got 3 regular periods from March, April and May 2007. I found out I was pregnant in June 2007 but sadly it ended in a natural miscarriage on July 15th 2007 at 4-7 weeks along. I just got my first cycle back after the miscarriage which is exactly 2 months I got it on September 16th. So I would like to know your opinions on if we should try this cycle or wait. I have talked to 2 doctors and both have said I can try after my first cycle or wait. But I would really like your experiences with this or opinions. I very much appreciate all your stories and adivce. Thank you

My husband signed the birth certificate nearly 5 years ago for "his" child. He now wants a paternity test because he never was offered one and wants to know the truth. He said the hospital people walked into the room and told him to give his i.d. and sign and never told him that he was waiving his right to a test. Is it too late to get one? What if the child is not his?

I am 9 weeks pregnant. How soon should I start buying baby stuff? I have a 12 yr old son so I have to completely start from scratch. Is it too early to start buying the major baby things like I am going to needs such as bottles, binkies, & diapers and unisex onies and such? When is the prefect time to have a baby shower ? Just curious ... been awhile since I have done this :)

Most doctors and people will say that the recommended or average weight gain is 25-35 pounds during pregnancy but I feel as though most people I know gain 40 + pounds. I am just curious what most pregnant women gain not the recommended weight gain. I have already gained 19 pounds at 22 weeks.

I have read on here that immediately after stopping your birth control pills your body tries to make up for lost time and will start to ovulate very quickly.. is this true? After stopping the pill for about 2 weeks I have had sex 4-5 times and am wondering if theres any chance I could get pregnant. This happen to anyone?

Also, I was on antibiotics the last week of my pills, so these also cancel out the effectiveness of the birth control

I am 26 weeks pregnant with my first child. My husband and I own an insurance agency that requires a ton of time and attention from us. We have been discussing the hiring of a nanny. We would like to hire her a month or so before I plan on going back into the office so that we can make sure she fits correctly with our son*. We also want to have her help around the house (wish we had her now). All of our friends send their kids to daycare. I just don't want to do this since I will be able to stay home a couple of days a week and daycare requires the same amount of $$ for three days or five.

I guess I'm needing to know if any of you have experience with a nanny and how well it worked out for your kids. Did she help around the house? What is too much to ask of her? What kind of pay do they recieve? What hours did you keep? Where did you find them? What kind of references/requirements should I require and expect?

Any help/advice you can give would be appreciated!

I want my body back. I am trying to conceive and lately I feel like my body belongs to someone else. I can't sleep only comfortable on my stomach. I am clumsy. My stomach is started get like a round shape to it. I keep getting like these little achy cramps near my ovaries.

I had my period on Sept. 2nd and ovulated Sept. 14th and baby danced Sept. 10th and 15th. I been feeling this way before then. I want to be pregnant but afraid to take the test and get a negative.

Is it in my head or is there something wrong? I want my body back.

Please no smart comments. Thank you.

With my first son I was induced as my membranes had ruptured but nothing else happened for 2 days. After being induced I found the contractions unbearable even with gas and air and pethidine.I have heard that induced labours can be more painful that a labour that has started naturally. I would really appreciate some information from woman who have had an induced labour and a naturally started labour and how they differered. Also has anybody had an epidural or an epidural where you can still walk, your experience, thoughts and feelings would be much appreciated. I know that what ever pain I have to go through it will be worth it in the end. Im 22 weeks pregnant today whhhooooooooooo, but just very scared of the labour.Thank you

I was just wondering about the odds of having a left-handed child. My hubby and I are both leftys. Our eldest son is right-handed, but our second child is a lefty. I know, with that it looks llike a 50-50 chance, right? We have one on the way though, and I was just wondering if it's genes, or just dumb luck.

I'm not worried about it. Just a random, pregnant woman thought. LOL

Two weeks ago, we had our daughter. Now, we're breastfeeding and supplementing with a soy-based formula (we learned from our first who had major colic from a milk-based formula).

Now I have two sample packages of Enfamil Lipil with a coupon for more, but we're not going to use it. I don't want to exploit someone by making money off of it, but I would just like for someone to pay for shipping.

Should I eBay it? Put it on CraigsList? What? I was thinking of asking around $5 for shipping, considering I don't quite know where it's going to go.

I only give thumbs down when someone is being mean or if the answer has nothing to do with the question. But some people are giving thumbs down when others are just simply stating their own opinions. It's even more ridiculous when they give thumbs down for somebody's own personal experience on something. Stop being so childish.

1. Lately, I been feeling like this aching, bloating feeling where my ovaries are. My stomach has started to take a rounder shape. I am not the only person noticing it, my fiancee is too. Also, I keep getting like little pain sensations off and on. They come and go but sometimes they are like crampy pains especially if I sit a certain way. Do anyone know what this could be? Cysts? Pregnant?

2. I had a weird dream last night that I was 27 weeks pregnant. And I went into early labor. I touched the baby foot and then pushed it back in. I told the nurse that I couldn't have the baby because he was breached. So they monitored me and the baby and stopped the labor. This is not the first pregnancy dream I had. I had like two last week. Is this just my subconscious or what?

My husband's mother has Schizophrenia. She lives near by with her husband and youngest son and she stays at home all day. She has been watching my husband's niece for as long as I can remember. I do not know if she did while she was an infant though. She loves baby and kids and she used to be a nurses aid so she know basic medical knowledge. I am not pregnant but I want to start a family soon and I want to make sure I cover everything. And when it comes to childcare we could save a lot of money if we allowed our kids to stay with her. And I know she would enjoy it. However, she does have Schizophrenia and I don't know much about it. She is on medication and I have never observed any behavior that would make me think she'd endanger a child. And her husband makes sure she takes her meds. My husband or his brother's don't like to talk about her illness so I can't ask them questions. Please tell me what you think!!!

What about when you have just returned home from the grocery shopping? Do you take your child out first and leave them unattended in the house while you go get unpack the shopping or do you get all the shopping inside while you leave your unattended child in the unlocked car?
It only takes one second for someone to kidnap your child, or 1 second for them to hurt themselves inside alone, so what do you do? What about if you had just struggled to put your toddler in the car seat and you realise that you left your wallet in the house? Do you take your child out again to run into the house to grab your wallet?

Well, another poor girl asked a question about her impending abortion, and as always she got "jumped on." However, I wish you'd stop saying "you shouldn't be having sex if you aren't willing to take responsibility." In my opinion, if you accidentally get pregnant, deciding to have an abortion is some women's way of taking responsibility. BC isn't 100%, and some women need abortion as their back up. Also, what would you tell married women in regards to them having abortions? They shouldn't be having sex with their husbands?
