My little baldy bean daughter was almost three before any good amount of hair came in.
My son had long curls we cut off when he was 1 so it just depends on the kid.
Enjoy them being a baby!

I have 4 children. All were born bald or with just a little wisp of hair (they lost that eventually). Somewhere between 9-12 months they started to grow hair. My middle daughter was the latest to get hair. She didn't have any noticeable hair growth until a little over a year old. When it did come in, it came in thick, curly, and blond. She's 22 now and has always had trouble with her hair. It actually has 2 layers of growth, the bottom layer grows in little ringlets and the top layer is just very curly. It's beautiful, but she has always hated it because it is so unmanageable. ADDED: I just read all the posts above me. It reminded me that my brother's step-daughter was not quite 3 when we first met her. She had absolutely no hair on her head at all. I had never seen a bald toddler before, but she is now 16 and has perfectly normal hair, although it is very thin.

My son had a full head, my daughter had just a tiny tiny bit and it came out and she did not get anymore until she was right at 7 months. This varies widely.
As adults, both have a nice head of hair.

My daughter was born with cotton-white hair that was about 1 1/2 inches long, but it stuck to her head (so she looked bald unless you blew at her hair).
My nephew was born five weeks later, and he was bald until he was about a year old.

My daughter started to get hair at about a year old. It only grew down the center of her head at first, looked like a mohawk! She was luckier than me though, I didn't start to get hair until two years old.

both born with good hair. my sister was born bald as an onion and some called her "chromedome." but she caught up with everybody else soon enough. has very pretty long hair now.

in a few weeks i would say... or the first few months.
or you can just get a hair piece for him/her. Donald Trump would be proud.

my kid was bald so took him back and got a refund.
then I went to the zoo and snatched a baby orangutan cause it was so cute and hairy.
