My 9 year old ( my husbands child but i adopted him) is a very strong willed and stubborn child. He does only what he likes when he likes and doesn't want to be imposed things or get grounded or banned from priviledges and when that happens he ignores and defy both me and his dad. He always wants to contradict what we say and push the limits and broke the rules. He gets counseling. He tried grounding and taking away priviledges but we can't take it anymore to fight with him hour by hour when he is grounded to keep him from tv, computer, games.

i think it should becuase its killing human life its not a just a mass of cells once its starts forming its human,it already a soul so if the female is having a baby from the cuase of abuse or rape dont kill the baby for the action it not the babys fault but instead give it up for adoption not abortion

What was your most embarrasing and/or scarriest moment during pregnancy, while delivering or after delivery??

We don't know what we are having, but we can't decide on a girls name. Our boys name will be Elijah Hayden. The names we have for a girl are Jessi Michelle, Josie Michelle and Fiona Michelle. What do you think?? :-)

I'm only 12 weeks but we have had our girl name picked out for a long time, but the boys name we are still deciding on. Here they are:
Colton Dean
Logan Dean
or
Hunter Dean

Dean is the middle name because it is my hubby's dad's middle name. Thanks for your opinions.
I can't wait until 20 weeks when we find out what we are having it is our first!♥

I know this is going to sound ridiculous because us women dont have a choice, but i am really nervous about delivering a baby. As many other women, i have a very low tolerance to pain...what im wondering is if you can share your delivery experiance with me (vaginally or c-section). Where in your body do you feel contractions? What do they feel like?, does having an epidural done hurt really bad?, and does it really help? Is there anything you can compare the pain of giving birth to?, or explain what it feels like? If you knew how much it was going to hurt to deliver a baby would you have thought twice about having children? Im probably going to kick myself for asking this, hopefully you all wont scare me off but i love children and cannot wait to start a family with my husband and i am just trying to prepare myself so i dont have many surprises. Thanks for all your help, also because we are so new to all of this, any help or advise would be appreciated!!

How can I go back to work? I gave birth to a baby and she was dead. I can't understand it myself but I think about her constantly and am so sad for losing a daughter. She was only 21 weeks in my uterus and most people are of the impression "it's just a miscarriage, she's already had 3 of them, what's the big deal?" or people don't even know because no one has told them. My friend at my work told me that no one at work knows why I'v been off work for a month now, and I can't imagine going back to work and having people ask me why I was off work or what I was sick with and it was because I lost a baby. To me that's a huge deal and it's so sad that no one gets it or understands. Has anyone gone through this and know of any way I can deal with my grief in a secret private way since it's not an acceptable grief to have in this society?

this might be a silly question, or it may be an absolutly legitament question.....but last night i wasn't feeling very well so i decided to take a hot shower...(i am 35 weeks pregnant btw)...i got into the shower and turned the water on as hot as i could stand it. it felt so good and relaxing, i sat down in the tub and let the hot water run over me (i almost fell asleep it was so relaxing). but all of a sudden i remembered that pregnant women aren't supposed to take very hot baths or go to a sauna or things like that (and the water was coming down right on top of my stomach). so i jumped up and got out of the shower. i am just a little paranoid that i may have caused brain damage or something to my unborn son....could that have happened??? should i mention it to my doctor at my next appointment (next week)? i seem fine and the baby is moving around today (although, not as much a usual...). Am i just a paranoid mom? any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

This is not really an "advice" question, more of a survey I guess. I'm 20 years old and very excited to be reaching the period in my life when I can begin to make my family. My boyfriend is older than me (34) but we are very much in love and very happy together. What I am interested in knowing is when other people had their first children and what their situation was, plus how they feel about it now.
1) How old were you and your partner when you first conceived? Married, dating, one time thing?
2) What was your financial situation at the time? Were you confident that you could provide adequate support?
3) Was it planned or unplanned?
4) In general, how do you feel about it? Do you regret not waiting longer, or was it everything you wanted and more?

I'm not looking for judgements or advice for myself, I just want to begin to formulate my own plan for raising a family. Thanks to anyone who responds!!!

I like to get informations from anyone who experienced with copper IUD as birth control. I just decided to have one. I am 26 and I have 4 small children. I think now is the time for me to start going on birth control before getting pregnant again and I choose this method which I think is the most effective.

My question is:
-Do I really have to check the strings every month as required?

-What if I didn`t take it out after it is expired? Will that harm my body or will I get pregnant?

- Does inserting or taking out the IUD really hurt ?

pls help.

California Child Visitation and Father's time spend?
Hi everyone, my baby girl is 7 months old and she is strictly on breastmilk. She has started on solides (baby cerals/veggies/fruits), what her peditrician has said. However she doesn't know like formula. She likes the real stuff. (breastmilk) She will not take a bottle as well. Point being is, we are in the court process of child custody & visitation. Overnight stays are not feesible with the father, due to breastfeeding. I am not going to give my daughter she doesn't want and not going to make a fast transition if she isn't ready. She'll be ready when she is ready. Generally, can the courts rule that she is with him for a certain amount of time due to breastfeeding.

***I do know a friend of mine who got her baby's father to only spend 2 hrs with his son because he was being breastfeed.***THIS IS ALL IN CALIFORNIA***
