my husband & I are looking to find info on adoption agencies and we don't know where to start. So if you or someone you know has had a good or bad experience, please let me know!

The best agency in the country is A Child's Waiting in Fairlawn, OH. They were featured on 20/20 some years ago and with their help we have a daughter. They are an excellent place to start even if you don't live in Ohio. They can direct you to a good lawyer or agency in your area even if they can not help you. We don't live in Ohio, but they were able to place a newborn 3 months after we completed our home study. That may seem like a long time, but that is incredibly fast for a healthy newborn.

I congratulate you in advance. It is a roller coaster ride and requires a lot of patience. Be forewarned, using an agency is expensive. In the end it was actually cheaper than many int'l adoptions. Good luck!

I just gave a baby up for adoption and i thought the agency was great, but if you are planning on adoption, you really want to go though an agency. It will help you with finding a birthmom, and you will have a much higher probability of getting choosen by a birthmom, and you will get choosen faster if you have a very open adoption. Agencies make sure your not getting scamed or anything so they are a good idea. Good luck,

We have adopted 2 from China and I highly recommend A Helping Hand in Lexington Ky.
They are a small agency, but place all over the US and overseas.
Excellent staff, some of the lowest fees in the adoption field and an excellent overseas staff as well.

Bad for us. We tried four times, thru county, adoption agency and other and never got a child. We have now accepted our lot.

Good luck-

I replied the telephone at my grandmother's and it became a invoice collector. the female became strangely hateful. I instructed her my grandmother became ill and would desire to no longer answer the telephone and the female went ballistic. She suggested she became turning the account over to the fraud branch and that i'd be listening to from the police day after today. It scared me to dying. We never heard from the police branch and this got here approximately quite a few years in the past.
