Totally agree. It's a human from day one..just because it doesn't look human doesn't mean you have the right to murder it.

NO WAY. Im going to give you the same answer that I gave when answering the other question about abortion. I personally believe that under certain circumstances abortions are completely justifiable. I think it is silly of people to say that its murder. What really bothers me however is when those same people turn around and say negative things about how a mother treats her children or say how mean it is that a mother cant feed her children and she should not have become pregnant. Everyone makes mistakes but I dont think the baby should be punished for the mothers mistake. If you cant take care of your baby I think it is selfish to keep it. That unborn child doesnt deserve to have to live its life unhappy or hungry and if your boyfriend or husband is violent, that baby doesnt deserve to be hurt. Also, if you are just 14 or 15 years old and you are raped and become pregnant dont you think you would want the chance to have a life. It is not your fault that you are pregnant and by having that baby your whole life could be ruined. If you dont believe in abortion then fine, but dont tell other people to throw away their own lives because its not something you believe in.
Also, try reading the book Freakonomics by Steven Levitt. According to the book crimes rates have significantly dropped since abortion was legalized. This proves that becasue woman are abe to do the right thing and not have a baby if they know it is going to grow up in a bad home with a bad life many children who would otherwise have been hurting our country and most likely would end up in jail didnt need to suffer that life.

NO WAY!!!!! you cannot interfere with a woman's right to have a child or not, that is a private and personal decision. Abuse and rape are terrible crimes and if a woman becomes pregnant as a result of these terrible actions, then she should have an abortion. You have a very backwards view, in regards to women deciding if they should have a child or not, men should not be allowed to rule women's fertility and birth choices. Leave it to women to decide for themselves, nobody has any right really, to force other women to give birth.

While, I can understand your position, I am and will remain pro-choice (do not mistaken this as pro-abortion, which I am not).I just feel that abortion is something that will happen, regardless, if it were made illegal and many women would suffer and perhaps die unneccessarily. No, abortion is not right and it is the destruction of life, but, who are we to judge these women (possible victims of incest or rape) and their decisions? I feel that all we can do is make abortion safe and legal to insure the lives of women (illegal abortions are often unsafe and deadly) and pray that women in these situations choose life.

While I respect your choice and personally would never get one, I do not believe it should be illegal. There are enough unwanted, uncared for childern in this world. Imagine how many there would be without abortion as a possibilty for women. There are already too many babies we hear about who end up abandoned and neglected. I am not saying abortion is right, I just think how the world would be if there were more childern in foster homes, or in abusive families.

I don't believe in abortion....but if it were illegal...more young girls would probably have babies and throw them in the trash to die like so many have already done....look how many have done it already when they could have put their baby up for adoption or had an abortion....it's sad when people have abortions but it's even sadder when they just throw them away like garbage to freeze to death....so it's kind of like a lose lose situation with this one...

Nice controversial question! I personally agree with you for the most part. Abortion is a simple way of escape for people who have not lived up to their responsibility to accept consequences for their actions. It is an easy way out of a seemingly difficult situation. I hear the argument all of the time from Pro-Choice people stating that life does not begin at conception. My retort is that if you leave it alone, it turns into a human and interfering causes that human to no longer exist. Simple math to me. The only time I feel it is warranted is in cases of rape. I can see where raising a child conceived in this manner would always remind someone of that awful event.

No. Although a fetus is clearly a human being from the moment of conception, that does not give it unlimited rights as against those of the mother, who will have to ingest an additional 50,000 calories to bring the baby to term, and then look after the child for an additional eighteen years. A compromise is necessary, and that laid down in Roe v. Wade was reasonable at the time -- and still is.

It should be legal. If you don't agree with abortions, then you shouldn't have one! About the rape/abuse issue...that would be a difficult thing to live with for nine months, being reminded of what happened to them everyday. Going through the pain of labor, then a child would be born and eventually find out how they were conceived..out of hate, not love. It's not up to you what their choice is, don't push your views on everyone else!

Don't we all wish that we live in a perfect world. Well Wake Up! We don't!! And thank God we all have the right of freedom in this country. Why would you even ask something like this?? I mean your a man, you Don't know what it's like to be a woman and unless your here to save the world for the millions of children without a home and want to adopt them, then maybe you should just keep it to yourself.

I feel the exact same way you do. I don't think that anybody should even conside abortion. If they are woman enough to spread their legs, then they should be woman enough to take care of their responsibilites. I am 17 and I am 11 weeks pregnant. It scares the hell out of me because I know that everything is going to drastically change for me and I will have to put off on my future plans for a little while. It's my fault and i would never think of killing something that is a part of me. Someone saying they can't handle it because they are young or whatever...that pisses me off!!! They should've thought about that before they had sex. I am so in love with this baby, I can barely breathe. Thak you for answering htis question.
