My boyfriend who already has a 7 year old from a previous relationship has told me over the weekend that he would like another child. I have always said that i didn't want children but this huge thing has been dropped in my lap and i am taking into consideration everything involved before making my final decision. My main worry is that i wouldn't look after the child properly and i am only 25, 26 next month and i am not sure i want to give up my freedom

I’ve recently found out that a woman I was in a relationship with some time ago has given birth, and the approximate date of birth given to me, at the time I found out, suggested the child could have been mine. This information led to some speculation amongst friends & me as to whether the child could be mine.

I have subsequently carried out further investigations and have obtained an accurate date of birth which implies that the pregnancy would have lasted 46 weeks if I was the father. In order close the door on this episode in my life I’m seeking answers as to whether firstly; it is humanly possible and secondly; if so, in what circumstances?

ok i was tested + for Group B streptococcus. my doc told me its nothing to worry about but im scared!!! im freaking out, i dont want anything to happen to my baby. everything i have researched about it says how bad it is and its fatel and the newborn can be blind, deaf, have learning problems (retardation) and all this, how can it not be a big deal if so many bad things can happen???
Has to any one been through or is going through the same thing i am going through?

What are the different pregnancy disability or maternity/paternity leave acts for California? Does anyone know a good place to find information on this? Are there any paid leave or is it all unpaid? How much time do you get to spend with your new baby before having to return to work? What are the eligibility requirements?
