the state should be helping you, but if she's not working they can't take any support from her, they would have court dates, if the state really isn't helping then you need to get a lawyer or go through an appeal if they denied you for child support

First off, KUDOS to you for stepping up and taking care of your daughter. Second, get legal advice. I'm with everyone here: she has to pay child support. I know there is a lot of red tape, but it can be done. Her wages can be garnished if you are receiving any state aid. Educate yourself on fathers' rights and then explore ALL options. In the meantime, keep doing what you're doing which is taking care of your daughter.

You need to go to a lawyer and start procedures to get court ordered child support for your daughter. It's got to go through the courts before the state will do anything. It might be harder to get child support now that she is out of state.

If the state's not getting on it, contact a lawyer that chases down deadbeat parents. Trust me, when they do find her, she will owe back support.

i hate it when women do that!!!! i know i'm a woman, but i would never abandon my kids. and i know that if you skipped out on her, they would come looking for you in a heartbeat. i have seen too many men go through this crap. one guy i know....he remarried after waiting a few years....not knowing where his wife went...she went for milk. ended up in florida. then she calls him after 4 years. the cow must have grown up. lol you should at least go to family court and get sole custody.

if she is in another state it is hard to collect child support, but if you file for it and get a court order, anytime she recieves any money, income tax ect, it will be taken and sent to you
