I was thinking of girl names and i like morgan
however i was thinkin of spelling it morgaine from the movie mists of avalon which portrays a different side of the king aurthur story in which she is not an evil sorcerous like may tales imply.
so i was thinkin morgan or morgaine
they both mean dweller of the sea, bright sea, white sea, bright etc
its gaelic/welsh

Are they both going to be pronounced the same way? I guess I like Morgaine best. Have a great night, congratulations on the pregnancy!

If you name your baby Morgaine, the kids at school will call her Migraine for the rest of her life. Give her a break and name her Morgan. Life is hard enough without being stuck with a weird name. No one will understand the origin of it anyway, including her. If you have to make a statement with the name Morgaine, get a dog.

I can tell you that people will probably have a very hard time pronouncing the last one, and she will probably get her name mispelled a lot.
However, the first one is also one of those names that can be used by both genders just like Chris. Two famous people that I can think of that are named Morgan are Morgan Freeman, who is one of my favorite actors, and Morgan Fairchild, who I could careless about.

"Morgaine" kinda looks like Rogaine... not a good thing. What about Morgyne, or Morgyn. But out of the 2 you have Morgan looks a bit better.

I'd go with the spelling of Morgan. The other is to close to rogaine - the hair formula. When I was naming my children, I also tried to rhyme it to see if there were any derogatory names little kids would rhyme it with. My name rhymed with some things and I hated it!

Morgan...
Morgaine sounds too much like Margarin (not sure if I've even spelled that right)!

I'm thinking Morgan is better since when I see the other spelling, I pronounced it sounding like Migraine.
