The strangest ghost I had ever saw was when I was nine years old. I was walking into my room when suddenly I saw a baby for about exactly one second. It was straight in front of me not in the corner of my eye. It was about 5 steps away. However, what I saw wasn’t a cute baby; it was a baby that was…
8 months old in the womb! I didn’t see through the mother’s stomach there was just lungs and liver on my bed. It wasn’t dead it looked like it was breathing properly and it had it’s eyes shut. After that experience, I’d never had another ghost encounter again…so far. I think that baby’s mother had an abortion or something *shiver*…

I recently got sick with the flu and now my milk supply has dropped significantly. My baby is freaking out on me because she is hungry. I try to nurse her and there's nothing. I got maybe one good feeding today and the rest have been barely anything. What can I do to get it back up? I don't want to formula feed. HELP!!!

- refuses to have anything to do with poops and pees (and diapers in general).
- avoids doing anything that might pose a risk (like bath as he might drown baby, picking up/carrying baby as baby may fall, etc)
- at nighttime feeding, wakes up only to bark when mom fails to keep baby quiet, thus disrupting his otherwise peaceful slumber.
- vows never to touch or do anything with baby until there's no more risk (until he's no longer liable for any damage happens to baby, or until baby can take care of itself) or until baby can play or watch football.
- as baby breastfeeds, then all feedings and feeding-related activities are mom's responsibility.
- agrees to watch baby sometimes, as long as he can do it while sitting in front of his computer or tv.
- when asked to hold baby for a while, threatens to shake baby.
- expects mom to cook, clean, and put baby to sleep as quick as possible so that they can have some intimacy and perhaps make more babies.

When im breastfeeding..is it ok if my 3 day old baby will eat maybe 30 minutes and then 3-4 hrs later only eat for like 5min and then not eat again another 3-4 hrs?? I try waking her up but she doesnt. I feel she doesnt eat enough.. she can sleep 6 hrs straight if i let her.. she also hasnt pooped since yesterday around 7pm (but the pedi said he isnt worried not just yet) so normal? If not should i be breastfeeding more? Her poop "says" i still just have colostrum, so my milk hasnt come in yet exactly.. sorry so many questions im just new at this.

I mean technically i can not go I know that. But i want my baby to be sociable and be okay with a bunch of people around. But at 6 months old people are frowning upon her still brestfeeding. i know its recommended until 1 yr but you cant reason with know it alls who say "i think all babies should be weaned by 4 months" "breastmilk has more fat than formula thats why the babies are so fat look at her legs" "by now breastmilk is too light for her she needs something more heavy" it gets freaking annoying i mean what did babies do before formula? NURSE! They were appalled when I told them babies nurse past 1 year old and this can be...gasp...normal. 2 yrs old was ridiculous for them. Should I just stop going altogether? I am tired of defending a good choice for both me and baby its aggravating and draining. I need to give them all books to educate themselves this xmas. Its like it doesnt matter what I say with most people laughing at me that i nurse more often than they must formula feed

I need a toy, game, or activity that encourages intellectual development in infants (babies up to 18 months in this case). It will be done with a small group of infants, and any ideas would be appreciated. thanks!!

My daughter is going to be a year on Saturday and she has a tough time drinking out of all 3 but which one should we push while we wean her? I don't think the bottle is the best because then we will have to wean her off a bottle but that is easiest for her. A sippy cup she is getting better. A cup she chews as she is drinking which makes a mess a cup with a straw she I think sucks to much and then it is all down her front.

My husband and i are expecting our first children, twins, in january/february. His parents are comming from 1000 miles away. his dad is staying for three days, driving back, hubby said he was going to drive back with him and leave me while i am still in the hospital or the first night home. I think that is wrong. His mom is staying about 2 weeks. by the time she leaves she wants me to travel about 1 1/2 hours to have a baby shower with her family, (she would not give the addresses to the hostess of my shower because she wanted to have one fo herself). I will be recovering from c-section and trying to get the hang of breastfeeding twins, dont like that idea either, I just want to stay close to home especially because it is flu and RSV season. Hubby is mad cus i said i would see if i was up to it, and he said it is fine i can just take the boys without you and give them a bottle, which can cause nipple confusion, he just laughed. THat made me mad too. am i unreasonable?

I have a three month old who at 2 months old weighed 17 Lbs and measured 26" long. At birth she was 10.5 Lbs and 22" long.
I am diabetic and am concerned that this may be affecting my baby. I am breast feeding and still take the prenatal vitamins and DHA supplement. She only eats every three to five hours and only from one side. The doctor does not think I am over feeding her.
I've talked to the pediatrician and he says she is fine. She is in the 99th percentile for almost everything.
She just seems to be growing too fast. After about two weeks she was able to hold her head and shoulders up. Now she can hold herself up on her legs with some help and does not hardly get wobbly at all. She tries to sit up on her own. She is very strong. Physically she looks like a baby at least twice her age.
Should I be concerned?

Just curious...what colors/themes/styles are all you soon-to-be mom's decorating your nursery in?
I have an animal/alphabet theme for my upcoming son...walls are pear green and the crib is black. Bedding is fairly neutral and I bought cute animal alphabet wall cards from Land of Nod.

At what age do you think is good for sippy cups. my son doctor told me that it was ok to start giving him juice noe. he is 4 1/2 old. he is already eating most of his basic foods cereal, fruits and veggies. I do not want to give him juice in the bottlr because it can rot teeth. it will be baby juice. and he holds his bottle well. is this a good time to start. he also sits up on his own and has doubled his birth weight thats why we started him on solids.

My baby is 5 weeks old & she was born 4 weeks early. She has never learned to latch on due to being born early & I have had to pump the whole time. I have had 1 bout with mastitis in 1 breast and am wondering is it safe to go a 4 hour stretch at night while she sleeps without pumping? I am worried about my breasts getting clogged again. I always make sure & pump every 3 but really really need some more rest as I am not making much milk anymore. I feel like I am fighting a never ending battle as I don't even pump as much as she eats & often have to supplement with formula. I am about ready to give up on the breastfeeding, though it would break my heart!
