I never let my daughter cry at 2 months. But, if you ABSOLUTELY need to step away from the child before you lose your cool... I say no more than 5 minutes at a time. Then go back, pick the baby back up.
I know how stressful it can be.

A baby shouldn't ever be left alone to cry. Yes, there are times when you've done everything you can think of, and the baby still cries, but you can at least let him cry in the comfort of your arms. When it's time for bed, rock, nurse, or otherwise soothe him to sleep. Be aware, though, that at 2 months he's too little for a schedule, so 'time for bed' really means when *he's* ready to go to sleep.

I would pick him up and look at him and talking him. I would rock him back and forth. I never let my baby cry at all. They tell you that something is wrong. But sometime babies do have extra bubble in there that they might need burping some more.

If the kid is two months old, it's not the time to teach him anything. If he cries, hold him. It when your kids get older and are better able to communicate their needs that you should let them cry a little while if it will help them to realize that they need to speak if they need something.

I would first put my fingers in through the front of the diaper to make sure it isn't wet again (that was usually the case) and if not stand him on my lap until he burps or if that doesnt work try tummy time ...... I would not let a baby at that age cry more than 5 minutes and usually they are telling you sometthing is wrong . it is usually another wet diaper ..... or gas and need burped or tummy time

Do you love him? Pick him up.

Buy a sling if you need a free hand to get things done around the house.

not more than 10 minutes of continuously crying or it will lead to health problems.

if he`s ur first baby u wouldn`t stand leaving him crying not for a second!
but when u have more babies..u`ll have enough experience that allows u 2 ignore some "unharmful" crying ..

Babies need to cry to help strengthen their lungs but don't leave him/her to cry for too long. I wouldn't go more than about 5 minutes until you pick him/her up.

it good for babys to cry, it expands there lungs etc.., u should be able to tell if its a attention cry or not, the more u pick him up when he cries he is going to keep on crying until u pick him up, leave him for a good while, then go into him, dont pick him up just rub his belly or somthing just to let him know u are there.
