He has been circumsized and whomever thinks I would joke about my nephew is crazy. I'm just trying to help out my sister in law but thanks to those who gave true answers.

its okay... I forget what it is though. It happened to my nephew, I freaked out. She had to like pinch the tip or something.

Yes...have her check immediately for a stran of her long hair (accidently) wrapped around the glans (head) of the penis...acting as a tourniquet cutting off the blood supply....if so, it has to be addressed immediately or risk causing an amputation!!! It is rare but can happen!
Get on it right away!

It can be at the sulcus (groove) behind the glans so it can easily be missed (almost invisible). If so cut the hair and go to the hospital...right away.

O.k I see a lot of call your doc, but I will say this, it's most likely circulation, because babies don't have good circulation you will notice extremities turn blue when they are young, this would include the penis. I hope that helps, it's not serious, it happens.

I noticed the same thing with my baby boy and I asked the midwife and she said that it is normal as long as he is still weeing okay. But if she is concerned she should get it checked out by a doctor or midwife just in case.

Mrs. WC here.

It's not uncommon for little boys to have discoloration on the tip of the penis. However, she should probably talk to the doctor about it.

This is something she should ask her babies doctor or mid-wife. I have had three boys and all of them had that after their circumcisions. Was her baby circumcised? She needs to make sure he is kept warm and dry as possible down there,

I'm 16 and haven't seen any infant boys. maybe your sister can call a 24 hour medical line.

Did they cut him (circumcise)? Is there a weird dressing stopping the circulation? Maybe that's it--if so, get help asap or he may be injured permanently.

This sounds awfully strange, IMHO. I hope you are not kidding and just writing this to be stupid.
