just keep feeding him as often as he will take it, or express in between, even if you get very little- you need the extra stimulation as that will cause more milk to be made. if you were established with feeding, then one day shouldn't stop your supply completely. make sure you are drinking ebough water, eating well and getting enough rest ( haha!) you could spoon feed a little water but don't give him formula as he won't be hungry enough to feed strongly enough to stimulate your production. good luck

Don't worry - at 13 days, skipping one day of breastfeeding might cause a drop in supply, but it will not stop your milk altogether. It is an easy problem to fix. All you need to do is spend a few days feeding your baby as often as he wants, at least every 2 - 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. Nurse more often - like every hour - if you can. Do not give him anything else but milk, and avoid a pacifier. Try to spend lots of time holding and cuddling your baby, especially skin-to-skin contact. This will stimulate his appetite. With just a day or two of this, you should have more than enough milk.

If you want an excuse to stop breastfeeding, then yes, I'm sure your milk has stopped. It's a common excuse. "I haven't got enough milk!" So, you have a transparent baby then, you can see how much he's swallowing?

If you want to breastfeed, then get that baby latched on and let him feed for as long as he wants. Don't give him any formula, just let him feed. It'll pick up again just fine.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people having the right to not breastfeed if it's not for them. I just wish they'd have the guts to SAY so, instead of making all these comments which put off people who'd like to breastfeed but are put off by all the "I wasn't producing enough milk and I couldn't bear to starve my baby."

Your milk will only stop if the baby's not sucking for a long period of time. I felt the same way some times. The trick is to drink lots of water and you'll be fine.

I hate to declare that regrettably little ones suckling is the only relatively guarenated approach of producing greater milk; the greater the newborn sucks the greater milk you produce. Expressing can not mimic the comparable way your bub beverages from you, thats why your milk has decreased little ones get rid of the milk greater desirable than what a pump can. you're very fortunate you have completed this for see you later I had a buddy that for the duration of user-friendly terms lasted six weeks doing it this type. The lactation professional might desire to have instructed you this. i assume basically feed your bub dermis to dermis as regularly as can once you could, in case you prefer to proceed this type. Your infant would be requiring greater milk to as he gets greater desirable so this could be greater problematic; do no longer be to no longer undemanding in your self you have completed nicely for 3 months espeacilly in case you're working besides on good of this.

Hold the baby next to your breast. When he grabs them it should start up again son after, or hearing your child cry could help it to get going.

What did yoru baby eat then. It shouldn't stop that fast. Keep trying all day to breastfeed and your baby's suction should get it going again.
