She's wanting to eat every two hours but I'm wondering if I should start stretching it and just entertain her in the mean time to distract her. She's pretty chubby, I mean not unhealthy, just cture baby chub, but maybe that's just because I'm still nursing her.

I think I am coming down with a cold, I started noticing the usual cold symptoms early this morning. Everyone at work has had a cold in the past two weeks so I am not too surprised. However, I have a four month old son who will probably get it. Are there any things I should/should not do with him (e.g. bundle him up too much/too little, bathe him, etc.) in the event he becomes sick or any things I should watch out for that indicate something more exigent than just common cold symptoms....

I am starting to worry I am doing my son a huge diservice. My 10 month old is still mostly just breastfeeding with very few solids. The main reasons for this is that previously we were living with my inlaws and going all the way upstairs and fixing food and working around thier mess and such made it difficult to get the solids going. We moved about a month ago into a small apartment. We have not gotten a kitchen table yet (inlaws promised thier old one, but havent recieved new one yet) anyhow so with out the table it is hard to get the baby sat down and eating. I do offer several foods, different baby foods and some table foods- but he never seems interested. At dinner time I do put him in his walker that has a tray and give him some dinner and some times he eats. Anyhow he is still mostly just eating the breastmilk. Once we have the table I do plan on offering more meals and less nursing sessions. But is he okay still just having the breastmilk? he seems satisfied and weighs average.

I'm going to a baby shower for a good friends cousin that I've known for a long time but it's kind of last minute so I don't really have a gift. I'm making a baby blanket for another friend as a surprise but that baby's not due yet so I'm going to give it to the cousin for her baby shower. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks this is a good gift. My friend agrees with me that not many people crochet anymore so it'd be a good gift but I'd like other opinions too.

If you were the mom to be would you like to receive a homemade baby blanket even if it's not on your registery. She has them listed but without time or money I don't have to buy it I don't just want to go empty handed.

First, let me state that I am pro-breastfeeding. I did it with my first, and am still going strong with my 9 month old. Just curious, what's the strangest place you've done it? I have breastfed in loads of public places (as I'm sure most nursing moms have), but I did it once at a zoo that had these really huge wooden rocking chairs around the merry-go-round. I felt like I was in a fairy tale, LOL. The chairs were huge, my feet were sticking off the end ;)

Please share, I'd love to hear your answers!

My mom had twins recently and it's her first time having twins and having boys. This was their first night home and my mom barely got any sleep, and I feel bad because I can't do anything to help her. Can anybody give me tips like...how to get them to sleep, and stop crying, and any other things you think could help?

I am night time breast feeding my 18 month old son. For the past 2 years I have not had a period but since I have started to wein him i just got my first one two Fridays ago it lasted a week until last Friday, I have been off of it for a week and tonight I just started again...I am wondering if this is normal? Is it at least safe? Or do I need to worry? I have never had this happen before and I this is my 3rd child...the others this did not happen with. Any advise or personal experiences would be a big relief. Thanks!

So, I'm about 4 and a half months postpartum, and I still have not gotten a period, but today and yesterday I spotted, brown though (old blood) and only a tiny bit.
I do not breastfeed and pregnancy is not possible (single mom).

I got a birth control pill pack, which my doctor told me to take on the first day of my period.
I do want birth control, so should I take it now even though I don't have a serious period yet?
If I do, will it stop my period (if I were to get one)?

Also, I have not yet lost the excess 40 pounds of baby weight that I REALLY want to lose.
(I know, it's been 4 months, I should have by now but I haven't).
I know many people who gain weight while on the pill.
I do NOT want to gain more weight, I would rather lose it.. Haha.
So, is weight gain because the pill mocks pregnancy and therefore makes women more hungry, so they eat more? Or is it the actual chemicals that can make the women gain weight?

I know I should ask my doctor these questions, but

Baby wakes frequently at the slightest noise and will only use a bottle to fall asleep. I would love some tips to get her to sleep through the night without me having to get up and make her bottles. I am getting worried that this problem will continue for months to come when she should be weaning off the bottle. Thanks!

Does anyone else have a 4 month old that only wants mommy at night. My beautiful boy only wants me at night. He takes one very short nap during the day, so at night I'm ready for a break. My husband tries to take over, but he just cries. I don't really let him cry too long because I feel he is too young at this point. It is OK and I love holding him anyways, but I just want to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

My friend is breastfeeding her baby but is planning to take ecstasy soon. Can anyone tell me how long the ecstasy will stay in her system? I don't want her to hurt her baby, so I will make her express all the damaged milk and throw it away.

I don't want any judgements, because it is not my decision. I just want information to use to help her baby. PLease no judgemental answers. Just helpful ones, based on knowledge or experience.

If your friend's 2-year-old daughter is 78 lbs., is it wrong to tell him/her that you're concerned? Your friends feed her whatever she wants, how ever much she wants, and at any time; because if they don't, the 2-year-old throws "frightening" tantrums. How would you go about it, or would you?

Im having a personal problem. Im just wondering if anyone else might know or have an idea whats going on... When I was in labor with my son, I lost my mucus plug. And now, im having a lot of discharge again. This has been going on for around two months. Sometimes when Im going to the bathroom, and I wipe I notice a lot of MUCUS like, almost, discharge come out as I urinate. Is this another side effect to having a baby, or is there something else going on? There is no blood in it, like when I DID loose my mucus plug. No odor. Just mucussy-puss kind of stuff. Not sure what it can be. I DO have an IUD in. Could THAT be causing it? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
