Im having a personal problem. Im just wondering if anyone else might know or have an idea whats going on... When I was in labor with my son, I lost my mucus plug. And now, im having a lot of discharge again. This has been going on for around two months. Sometimes when Im going to the bathroom, and I wipe I notice a lot of MUCUS like, almost, discharge come out as I urinate. Is this another side effect to having a baby, or is there something else going on? There is no blood in it, like when I DID loose my mucus plug. No odor. Just mucussy-puss kind of stuff. Not sure what it can be. I DO have an IUD in. Could THAT be causing it? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

im not sure if it is an infection, since I had been on antibiotics for a while, for a bladder infection. I get them a lot, since being pregnant. And I NEVER had sex when I was pregnant, so I know its NOT because of THAT!

Please call your doctor as soon as possible. You might have an infection and not know it. Don't take any chances. It could be the IUD. So get checked out soon so it doesn't get complicated. Hope this helps.

You really need to go to the doctor! It sounds like the IUD gave you a uterine infection! That is not good it can make you infertile if not taken care of. I had an IUD in and the same symptems so I went in and had it taken out and turns out I had a uterine infection but it was mild, antibiotics took care of it! Good luck

Often, there is a mucus discharge like this during ovulation. Is it happening in the middle of your cycle? If not, I'd suspect something to do with the IUD and call your doctor.

could just be from your IUD. im on the pill and ive noticed since then that i've had a lot more discharge. i read the note thing that came with it and it says one of the side-effects was increased discharge. i would get it checked out just in case, but thats what i think it is.

i'm experiencing the exact same thing- my baby's almost 8 months now and i just had my first period this month.

i am not on the pill nor do i have an iud and i'm pretty sure it's not an infection. i'm still trying to get more info on what it might be. if i come across anything specific i'll pass it along.

I have had something similar happen, but I don't have an IUD and am not on any antibiotics. I think I agree with those who have said it is just normal, but I really have nothing firm to base it on.

I think you should go to see your MD or call them on the phone they know more of your history and could advise you on what to do. There could be diffrent things going on I mean in most cases this is normal but given some things you have mentioned here it would be wise to consult with them.

Sounds like it may be bacterial vaginosis, the opposite of a yeast infection but antibiotics kill bacteria causing yeast infections, not the other way around usually.

I would ask your GYN.

i think you should probably call your doctor, instead of asking unqualified people about something like this. if your on the net, you could try webmd.com as well. they have all kinds of stuff that have better answers than what you might get here if you dont feel the need to call your doc instead.

It's normal...it's just the phase of ovulation you're in...pregnancy just changes hormone levels and sometimes effects amounts of discharge. You're CRAZY fertile that's all.
