Just wash your hands more often, keep him warm but not so bundled that he is hot, and bathing him is still fine. Watch for a fever of course. Other than that, he should be fine. Even if he gets a cold, he will be okay. If he does catch the cold you can get vicks baby rub to put on his chest which will help with congestion and you can use a humidifier as well. Fever is really the #1 sign for something more serious than the common cold, so call the doc if he has a temp over 100. Good luck!
Sorry you're sick, winter sucks. ;)

If you are already feeling the symptoms, chances are that your baby has already been exposed. He may not come down with it, though. I would just carry on as normal and if he gets sick, add a humidfyer to his bedroom, give Tylenol if he gets a fever ( you'll need to check a rectal temp until he is over 6 months of age). If he gets a fever that lasts longer than 3 days, has green or yellow discharge, doesn't seem to be getting better after three or four days, I'd take him in just to be sure.
You're doing a good job, mommy!

try not to give him the cold is the best thing you can do. my baby became sick with RSV, which is a common cold virus in adults. while it is a regular cold in adults it can make babies much more sick!!!
my baby had a bad cough, was wheezing noticeably, sneezing, gosh everything... he was so miserable! this is what a common cold in an adult can cause for your little one.
i didnt pay much attention to this because when you read about it, it says RSV mainly affects premature babies, but this is misleading. the pediatrician said it is common with babies this time of year.

wash your hands!!!! everytime you sneeze, cough or mess with your eyes, mouth or nose. this will prevent the spread of the cold bug. when coughing or sneezing do this into a tissue or the crook of your arm. never into your hands!! wash your hands before you or anyone else picks him up. spray lysol on door knobs and etc.
it will be hard but try not to give kisses to him or put your face into his.
babies only need one more layer than we adults do. if you notice him sweating then unbundle him, he is too hot. i think baths are fine, just make sure he doesnt get a chill before or after. dress him quickly.
he may still get your cold. if he does, dont hesitate to call your doctor with his symptoms, they can give you advice on how to unstuff his nose and etc.
if he runs a fever, wheezing, rattly breathing, severe coughing that causeses vomiting, then get him to the doctor asap.
good luck!

He's already been exposed, and there's really nothing special you need to do. If you're breastfeeding, he'll probably have a milder case, or not get sick at all.
If he does get sick, just hold and comfort him, and nurse him as much as he wants (if you're nursing).
