My daughter has had her ears pierced since she was 2 months old. She is now 5 months. I think it is the absolute cutest to see baby girls wearing hoops. Is 5 months too early to let her wear them? What was the earliest you let your daughter wear hoops?
Oh and im talking about the small ones. Small enough where she cant pull them out or get them caught. We have had no problems what so ever with the studs she has now she never touches them and they have never caught.

Kristy Reynolds & her husband are parents to a beautiful little baby boy named Kaleb. He is 6 months & 3 days old. A couple weeks ago Kristy picked Kaleb up from home care & noticed something was wrong. She immediately took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Shaken Baby Syndrome. He now has meningitis in response the the surgeries on his brain, his body can't regulate his temperature, his heart rate drops every time he is moved, & he has seizures. He is also blind. His sitter shook him so hard that he is in a coma, had to have spinal fluid drained from his brain, & doctors think that if he lives he will be a vegetable for the rest of his life. Brain scans show that his brain tissue is dying & his brain is shrinking. Kristy & her husband refuse this diagnosis & pray for their little boy. I'm asking you to join them in this prayer for Kaleb.

Her myspace is:

Please go & view his photos on her profile !!

Thank you for your prayers

I know the FDA (food and drug administration) regulates alot of things, for quality purposes. I was wondering if formula production is regulated?

And does anyone happen to know what's in formula?

I am getting ready to have my first child. I have been searching for the right breast pump. I want to buy a manual one. Since they are cheaper. Plus I will only be using it while I am at work. What pump did you find the best and why?

My daughter is only 2 months old and she is exclusively breastfed. The other day I felt a little off, like I could be pregnant so I got a test. The test I took showed a very faint line, like you almost had to strain your eyes to see it. I'm gonna get a test that is more sensitive tonight. I know that it is very unlikely, right?

We have a doctors appointment today at 3:30 but I just want a few opinions before then..
He has a small knot that looks about the size of a piece of gravel under his skin in the crease of his leg inside of his diaper.
It just poped up last night, it doesnt seam to be causing him any pain YET...
Has anyone else had this or seen this and what was it, my father in law suggest that it may be a small hernia but with my son only being barely one he dosent know if they will be able to do much for it yet... What are some other suggestions, just so I can be prepared for anything the doctor may say later..

How many of you out there has gorgeous ginger babes?

I decided I wanted to breastfeed about 5 days after the baby was born, but am afraid I have a low milk supply from waiting. Before I decided to breastfeed, he was drinking 2 1/2 ounces of formula every 3 to 4 hours, and when I pump, I didn't get that much. Now he'll take about 3 to 3 1/2 ouches of formula , and I can only pump about 8 ounces a day. How do I get my milk supply to increase?

Since my husband's family and my own are in 2 different states I travel a lot. My family is further than my husband's, but how safe is it to drive long distance? Would driving for 12 hours, only stopping for gas and restroom breaks too much for the baby?

I know this is going to offend a lot of people, but I am honestly just trying to understand why birth Mother/parents willingly choose formula over breastfeeding. I know many women and babies cannot breastfeed, and that is not what I am talking about here. I mean women who make milk when their babies are born, and choose to buy artificial milk and stick a plastic nipple in their baby's mouth, instead of bringing baby to the breast to drink the special-made super duper healthy immune-boosting milk that our bodies make for our babies. Please enlighten me--it just seems so unbelievable that SO many people make this choice. AGAIN, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO CANNOT BREASTFEED, I AM TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO CAN BUT CHOOSE NOT TO.

I have a 5 month old little girl and for the most part she is a pretty happy baby. However, every night shortly after her last bottle when she starts to get sleepy she has an hour long crying fit. She is totally inconsolable during this time. I'm thinking she knows its bedtime and she just doesnt want to be away from mommy and go to sleep.

I was curious if anyone else has had this problem and how they handled it, and if this is a normal phase for her to go through?

My baby boy was recently diagnosed with Down Syndrome. He is now several weeks old and his two major characteristics have disappeared. He had slanted eyes and folded ears. Now his eyes look mostly normal and so do his ears. Is this supposed to happen that his looks change shortly after birth. He has no other characteristics as far as we can tell.
