i never had a bouncer, but my sister in law has her baby's sleep in those when they first come home for a few weeks. she says they all have liked it better (4 boys including a one month old) none of her children have like having to sleep flat. makes sense with having been crammed up for nine months. and the vibration is actually soothing. it's made to simulate the vibrations of the mothers womb. so she is not too young, it's actually probably more comforting the younger they are, but your wife is probably emotional, and if she feels that strongly about it, just let it go. it won't hurt the baby either way-but it will hurt your marriage if you challenge her! :) just approach it at a latter date, or when your wife isn't home or sleeping. (just be sure to turn it off before she gets home or wakes up!) good luck!

The vibrating will do little for your baby at this age, except maybe upset her tummy. There is a good chance your wife has a reason for thinking your daughter is too young, ask her why. Whether your wife is right or wrong, you would do well to take her at her word and assume she knows something. There will be lots of things you agree on, and lots you don't. Is it really important for you to turn the vibration on? The baby is too little to care. Your wife is new to being a mom and still has a lot of hormones raging through her, if it is really important to her that the baby is too young, just let it go.

I would put the baby in it without the vibration on and see if the baby likes it.
In all honesty the longer you wait to put the baby in there, the bigger they get and the faster they learn how to tip it or try to slide out of the bottom, etc. and then you can't use it because they spend all their time trying to get right back out!!!
If it makes baby happy, then do it... I would try the vibrator if baby gets fussy but if it doesnt make the baby feel better I wouldnt use it at all.

first of all, i does no longer enable a 17 day previous cry it out. She is crying for a reason and merely needs her Mommy to convenience her. She might have colic, attempt giving her some Mylicon. i've got been giving my daughter that on the grounds that she grew to become right into some month previous and it always relieves any gas that she might have. If that doesn't then i might call the rfile and spot what he/she recommends.

It's made for any age, your wife is just tired & the vibrating must be bugging her. It can't hurt the baby~ Congrats on the new baby~
I agree with the others that said if it's bothering your wife, it's not worth it to push the issue. Don't use the vibration. But I just wanted to let you know it's not going to hurt your daughter IF your wife changes her mind. :)

Most of the vibrators that are on toys for babies are on them because they somehow soothe the baby. It comforts them and your little girl will probably love it.
My son is 2 months and HATES when I turn the vibrators on in his seat. He squiggles and cries. And just as soon as I turn it off, he is fine.
So you should just see what she likes....
Good Luck!

Babies do not go in bouncers/chairs until they can hold their head up.
My oldest was fine by two months. My now 6 month old has only been OK the last 6 weeks.
Instead of a chair, you should try wearing your baby in a sling or a snuggly. It's better for the baby, and builds bonding, and Dad can do it too!

I used mine for my 3 kids the day they came home.
They are a god send.
If this is your first baby which im guessing it is, your wife is going to be very cautious of things with your daughter.
Just assure her that they are ok, if she still has doubts ring the manufacturer.
Congrats on the new bub!!!!

Your baby is too young for the chair. The correct age would be about 4 months at the earliest, not just over 2 weeks.

I don't think she's too young. At that age my daughter was in her bouncer and her swing, but I don't know. I guess its up to her.
