Well done for getting on here and being livid rather than opening the formula! There is a lot of nonsense talked about brest feeding and growth. The WHO published new growth charts based on BF babes rather than formula fed and they are bit more realistic but my 2 have followed v different curves. I think when doc threaten in this way they do no-one any favours. The truth is babies grow differently and making a judgment so quickly seems a bit rash. Some babies don't do well on some women's milk and occasionally some help or intervention may be needed. I would strongly recommend you contact your local breast feeeding counsellor from LLL or NCT in the UK. I'm assuming APA is american though? Here (UK) they would talk to you now or arrange to call at your home and give you the info you need and support you deserve. Good luck to you and although breast is definitey best remember it's not a competition and the best result is a healthy baby.

Boy that sucks for you. As long as the poop isn't like diarrhea, or hard, he should be fine, and should taper off as he gets older. The one thing I would be worried about is a red rear-end. My daughters were breast fed, and sometimes there were many bowel movements and other times not as many.

That's what babies do. They are so small that their digestive tract is not that long yet so food passes through fairly quickly. He's not pooping the formula he just drank but rather the stuff from the day before. It's just pushing along the assembly line if you will.

Totally normal (probably noisy too, right?). In the beginning, what goes in, comes right out. Some babies poop more, some less...it may change as he goes through each stage of growth too.
When in doubt though, ALWAYS call your pediatrician.

I'm not an expert but as a dad of three and being married to an expert (professsional supernanny) I've been exposed to this before...
I'd say it is ok, saw it with our last one and she was breast fed so would expect either worse or same for bottle fed. drop me a line if you want help from the 'expert' though!

At this age that's completely normal. Don't be afraid to call the nurse at your pediatrician's office with these kinds of questions. If there is something to worry about she/he will make sure you see the doctor ASAP.

Yes, it's normal. My sons were the exact same way, and they were formula fed as well. As long as they're gaining weight and having wet diapers as well as poopy ones so you're sure he's not dehydrated, he's fine.
