My son is almost 7 weeks old. When he was first born up until about 4 days ago, he would eat every 2 hours. Sometimes even sooner than that. Well, now he's only eating every 4 or 5 hours. And less when he does eat. Is it normal for him to be eating that far apart? I talked to his doctor and he say that he wasn't concerned because he's still gaining weight. I"m still a little worried though. How often did your 2 month old eat??? and also, is anyone only breastfeeding? my doctor recommends i start adding solid foods at 6 months. but i was thinking i would just breastfeeding for a year. will that starve my baby or is anyone doing that? thanks for the advice......

a friend of mine gave me 3 starck baby bottles she got at a yard sale...we loved them, but my sister wants to use them too and she's having twins. Where can we order more of them? My googlesearch only turned up "daddytypes.com", which wasnt much help. Neither was ebay. If you can help me find more of these it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks. (=

We are planning a family trip to the beach this summer and my daughter will be 10 months at the time. I know I need to take the necessities, like diapers, wipes, sunscreen, etc, but I'm looking for things to help make the trip easier. Like things we can use instead of taking the "bigger" items.

Does anyone have any suggestions? We currently have - pack n play (for sleep) and a fisher price booster seat with a tray (for high chair.) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

just incase I need it. Can anyone give me their opinion on the different bradns and types of baby formula and what you like/dislike about them? Also-what is your opinion on giving them formula with lots of iron-it has to make their tummy hurt considering the iron prenatal pill hurts mine.

What would you bring as a gift to celebrate the Baptism of your friend's baby? I was invited to the party of my friend's baby's Baptism and want to bring something for the baby. Since I'm here in the U.S., I would be glad to receive opinions, preferably, from the point of American Christian view.

He's throwing up his milk, not taking the bottle like he normally does, very irritable and hard to calm, he's congested, and he has a very bad cough...does anyone know anymore about this? I've looked it up and read about it but I'm scared for him. I will be taking him to the doctor today but I don't know how to calm my nerves until then. Any opinions/suggestions?

Looking for a second stroller for NYC mom. Bumbleride Flyer is our main ride. The Triumph looks good because of the shoulder strap. The Quest looks good because its so light. The Techno XT looks good because its got so many bells and whistles. We have a MacLaren frame that goes with the Graco car seat- it was our newborn stroller.

Anyone with feelings one way or another, please respond. Also, any recommendations as to where to purchase one (and ony promo codes therein) would be greatly appreciated.

My 12 week old daughter loves her bath-time, but I find it difficult to find a good position to hold her in, (whilst kneeling over the baby bath and trying to wash her with the other hand) it's very slippery and she tends to kick her legs so hard, she slides backwards....its a very splashy and frantic affair....any ideas?

I just received an email about some kind of chemical leaching into formula from plastic baby bottles when they're microwaved. I use Dr. Brown's bottles, and they were one of the bottles with the highest level of chemical leaching into the bottle. I'm currently using ready to feed formula as it's the only kind my baby can keep down. She won't take it cold, so how should I warm it besides in the microwave? From what I've read, warming it in any way in the plastic bottle causes leaching. Should I be concerned or is it one of those 'soap box' issues?

When my little boy spits up his simialc formula on his clothes - I wash them in dreft detergent on a very hot cycle - often I then find very dark (almost black) spots where the formula was - Has this happened to anyone? Is there a way to get it out? - Is there a way to prevent it? It seems to only happen on dark clothes - its very weird... Any tips? Advice? Thanks

What do people do with infant carseats if they only have a two seater car or a truck? My father is going to be watching my daughter while I take college courses and we were wondering if he could put her in the front seat of his car as long as he put her backwards and turned off the airbag? I have heard that cops can't pull you over for it cause you have no other option...but I am wondering if there is any evidence of if it is as safe as the backseat...

I heard that carseats HAVE to be in the backseat of the car because of the airbag...so will turning if off make the front seat as safe? Or comparable at least?

My son is 17 days old and since my milk came in he refuses to take the breast...he did nurse the 1st 24 hrs. I have been expressing, this works for me because my husband can feed the baby also. However, I have several people...two being Dr's pressuring me to force the baby to nurse. I know he can be trained but isnt it possible he just doesnt like it ? He had a 10% weight loss before I started to express..since moving to a bottle he has gained all the weight back plus. Should I stick with what works ?

your chíldren? We live in a German-speaking country,my husband is native, but my native languages are spanish and english. So, he speaks German to our baby (shes 11 months old), and I speak English and Spanish to her. She can say words in each language and is responsive to all 3. But, a Dr. Told me today that a child should only be started out on 2 languages, and when she turns 2(or when at least 1 language is well established), to introduce the third, otherwise she would have speech impediments or have trouble in school later.
So; do any of you think this is true? Please tell me your experiences, advice, please. Thank you!
