When my little boy spits up his simialc formula on his clothes - I wash them in dreft detergent on a very hot cycle - often I then find very dark (almost black) spots where the formula was - Has this happened to anyone? Is there a way to get it out? - Is there a way to prevent it? It seems to only happen on dark clothes - its very weird... Any tips? Advice? Thanks

You dont wash a stain in hot water....heat sets the stain...you pre treat it then wash in cold ....if you see that the stain is still there do not put it in the dryer....re treat it and wash again....

Try the Dreft Baby Stain Remover. It comes in a spray bottle. Spray some on the stain. Rub it in and let it sit for about an hour. Rub again and then wash as usual. You may need to repeat. This works great for all kinds of baby stains...food, spit-up, formula, and bm.

Also try putting a little bib on him at all times, or atleast when he eats and up to an hour later. Some of them are cute and they are easier to change then a whole outfit.

I've never had dark spots on my babys clothes but her spit up would leave white stains on dark clothes. I use Spray N Wash stain stick before i put them in the washer. That stuff gets out EVERYTHING! She had a red Kool Aid stain on her Tigger chair cover once that was like 3 months old. I covered it with Stain Stick, threw it in the washer, and it came out good as new!

My mom swore by a paste of dishwasher detergent and water right on the stain right away, and then wash as normal. It's probably a reaction between the formula and the dye.

Spray and wash has a formula which has Resolve in it. It works great. I use it on all the babies clothes and have never had clothes ruined due to stains.

You completely do no longer might desire to apply Dreft. i exploit Dreft, yet often because of the fact i like the way it smells, i've got thought approximately using it to do all my laundry. i exploit a loose and clean detergent on the remainder of my stuff and that i'm helpful it would be large to apply on the infant clothing. There additionally are greater decrease priced infant detergents you will get. in basic terms make helpful the detergent you're using isn't scented as some perfumes, even organic ones, can aggravate your infant's comfortable pores and skin (my infant has very comfortable pores and skin and eczema and the Dreft does not aggravate it). Edit: It appears like your detergent might desire to be large. in case you place the infant clothing on your infant and you spot his pores and skin grow to be annoyed, then change, even though it sounds like it is going to be comfortable on his pores and skin. playstation I had all my infant clothing washed see you later earlier the infant grow to be born. i grow to be so excited. I had piles of burp cloths (however i got here across i wanted much greater after he grow to be born than i presumed i could), blankets, etc. Congrats on your quickly to be infant!!
