Talk to her doctor.

When my son was that age, he would have two different cries--a real one and a fake one. The fake cries didn't produce any tears. The ones, such as one where he would get scared or hurt, he would cry with tears.

Talk to her doctor about a clogged tear duct though.

I had the same problem with my daughter. You do need to get it checked ASAP because it could cause blindness if they eyes are not secreting anything. With my daughter she had under developed ducts and they said she might need surgery down the road. Her eyes were staying moist enough not to worry about blindness yet. By 1 year she had full tears! YAY! No surgery! Good luck to you and your baby.

Dehydration will do this. But make sure she is really crying though at times they do cry with no tears when its not a proper cry. also on the dehydration subjectif her urine is dark in colour, their eyes apparently sink in a bit (if its serious)also the urine may crystalize. If your still unsure I would definately go to the doc, even if its to ease your mind. Go with your gut most of the time, you just have to when it comes to our babies.

Well, babies dont normally have tears when they cry for a few weeks after birth, my my son got them around 2 months old... Could just be developing late or could be blocked tear duct... I would ask the pedi. just to be safe...

The baby may have blocked tear ducts. You should have that checked, because it can cause some problems eventually, such as infection, etc.

My friend had the same problem with her baby.
At first she thought just simple clogged tear ducts...
But when she took him to the doctor he said the babies tear ducts were barely open and would need to surgically fix them.
After surgeries and healing.... He cries just fine...I've seen the tears....
