My DD was the same way - and the kitchen sink was not any easier for me! There are more things in the kitchen she wanted to grab. I just got in the bathtub with her. It is suprising how much easier it makes in when you are not worried about the splashing or slipping. What kind of baby bath do you have? Does it have a flat bottom inside or does it have kind of like a shelf for her to sit/recline in? We had the flat bottom one before and when she got to big for me to take baths with, we went to the recline seat kind, it is much better!

Bathing a baby that likes baths is always a splashy affair. It's also fun and doesn't last long, enjoy it while you can. Try giving her a bath in the sink instead of the baby bathtub if you are uncomfortable with it. It's much easier and a lot easier on your back and legs, (don't understand why you are kneeling unless you have the baby tub on the floor or in the regular tub?). Always bath a baby so you can be comfortable, there is less chance that you will drop her or she will slip. If you do use the sink make sure you place a nonslip mat in the bottom before filling with water or use a small towel or washcloth as a mat.

Hi, they make those little bear shaped foam positioners to put in the bath to prevent slipping. Are you using a baby bathtub or just putting the baby in the regular tub? If you're not using a baby tub then I recommend getting one, or using the kitchen sink to bathe since it's a smaller size.

The cheap bath supports eg mothercare, made of a wire frame and towelling are very good. Or use one of the foam bath supports and lie her down on it. Not too much water!

Dont hold her. Use the anti skid backing in the tub and only enough water to get the job done. If her back is on the skid plate she wont move AS MUCH (lol) and all you have to do to wash her back is to raise her shoulders forward. It works for mine who is 3 months old and tries every time to "missile" himself out of the tub.

Slip your arm under the armpit nearest you. Then, supporting her head in the crook of your arm, close your fingers around the top of the arm furthest from you. Once you have a good grip, she can splish and splash to her hearts content without you loosing her into the suds. Have fun.

Hold her with her head in the crook of your arm, with your hand under her armpit, i did this when they were young, but at 12wks onwards i filled the bath really low & let her kick, play etc, then i had 2 hands! Mine are both water babies they love it!

Try a bath pad. Its a foam pad she can lay on in the bath so she won't slip. They are inexpensive and you can get them at any baby store.

Get her one of those little bath-time seats, she can just sit in and play if she wants, while you wash her.. =)
Im sure they're not that expensive, and you can most likely simply find them at walmart.
