My 7 week old son is very attached to me. I love it except every now and then I need a break. I try to get out of the house for a hour or so and come back to screaming. Dad says this happens every time. As soon as I leave he will wake up and scream no matter what dad does to help him. It really hurts his feelings that his child doesn't yet except him. What can we do to make my son more comfortable around his dad? He is a great dad I have seen him with him he does everything just right our son just likes me Help.

It seems to have dropped off so much that I am having to thaw frozen breastmilk and feed to my baby. I know I am not drinking enough water. I have started drinking more now. Is there anything else I can do? I have been nursing my baby often, but she gets frustrated and crys because I don't have enough milk for her.

He's done both cereals now, rice for about a month, and oatmeal now for a week. No reactions from either, do you recommend vegis or fruits first, and which ones?

Of the groups least likely to innoculate their own children, Pediatricians are second least passed only by their lawyers the very least likely to tolerate shots into their own children. Whatzup whid dat? Shots murdered my uncle and brother in law and other friends. Shoters plotted to kidnap my kids I'm so politically incorrect over this. Help me Jesus. Help us all.

My daughter, 8 months, has been exclusivly breastfed since birth. I wanted to give her the healthiest start in life that I could, and up until now didn't have a reason to give her a bottle. My dilemma is this, our savings are low and one income isn't doing it for us anymore. I need to get a job! However, I don't want to start putting in applications until I know my daughter will be alright for at least 6-8 hours while I'm at work. I've tried everything from leaving her with someone else to give her the bottle, letting her get really hungry and trying first thing in the morning, every size, shape, flow of nipple you can imagine, and she refuses. So I've arranged to leave her with my mom and sister first thing in the morning tomorrow and they are convinced when she's hungery enough, she'll drink. My mom is the most loving, patient person I know and if anyone can do this, she can. I just feel very guilty leaving my daughter when I know she'll get hungry. Help!

I am making my own baby food for my 6 month old and just read something about carrots and high nitrates. I am using a bag of baby carrots that have already been cleaned and peeled and wanted to know if anyone had information on using the extra water to puree with.

OK..I know babies cry...some a lot, but I am concerned about my 4 month old boy. He has always been miserable (the doctor says colic). When he was tiny (newborn- 3 months) he cried for 4-5 hours straight a day. He is now 4 months and has gotten better with the constant crying. However, whenever I take him out of the house to friend's house. bowling alley, or my in-laws (etc.) he cries non-stop. He becomes hysterical and cannot be calmed down until we pack him up and put him in the car. I THINK it is the noise, but am not sure. He is usually OK at the grocery store or Target, but becomes impossible at a social gathering. The doctor also expressed concern at the fact that he is not laughing or rolling over yet. He does smile, but rarely in public and inconsistently with us at home. I have a terrible feeling that something is wrong. Can anyone offer me some insight on this????

Ok, so the reason I'm posting this under parenting is I need to know what kind to put in my daughters room. She's 9 months old and has mild asmtha. Which one is good for asmtha? Her room is a little dry, nothing too bad though. I did buy a humidifier for her room already, but I'm not sure I should use it. I know dampness can be bad for asmtha, but I think if her room is dry it will also affect her asmtha for the worst.

Any advice?

My daugher is almost 4 months old. Ever since she was born she hated the pacifer, which suprised the nurses because she had great sucking ability. She now sucks her fingers, but refuses any kind of nuks and spits them out. We even tried putting formula on the end of the nipple to trick her, but it only worked for a second. Is there anyway a baby can learn to like a pacifer? It would be so much easier on me since sucking really calms her down.

My husband favors our first daughter. Our second one was not planned and he blames things on me. He works out of town and when he calls he only asks how the oldest is and never asks about the baby. It tears me up. And how do you think this baby will feel when she gets older? Anyone know how I can get my husband to start paying more attention to her...she's only 3 months old.

Ok i have a two month old beautiful baby girl. Its a long story but the guy moved to FL when i was 5 months prego fully knowing it was his. He has never seen her, sent her anything, no money no diapers, and well i just found out he just got another girl prego. I haven't filed for child support cuz my life doesnt revolve around money. But i have been thinking about it to show him that these kids arent cheap. He also has a 3 year old that he never sees. Somebody just give me some advice to go on. He makes me so mad i dont know what to do. He has a beautiful little girl who he doesnt care about and he just goes and gets some other girl pregnant, not even caring how it makes me feel.

When you feed your baby/babies, which baby food is your favorite?
Which one do you think stinks so bad you can't feed it to your baby? And which one do you feed your baby knowing... you would never touch it yourself? :)

My son will be 1 on March 1 and has a mouth full of teeth. This afternoon, he was standing up holding on to my chair and his 9yrold sister was beside him, He leaned like he was going to kiss her and bit her on the cheek. He bit her hard enough to leave a bruise. I don't know if he meant to do it or not. How do you stop a 1 yr old from biting? We tell him no no. But is there anything else we can do?
