Ok, maybe Im wrong.
I've heard about a book about putting your baby to sleep at night gently (not letting him cry him self and fall sleep from exhaustation)
Is it this one?

Ok, I just read A LOT of bad reviews for that book.
I'd like to read a book that shows me a way to gently put my baby to sleep, and teach him that he can do it by himself... and not take a year doing so.

NO this book has some of the worst advice you will ever come across as a parent, I know I read it, and quickly learned it was not the way I planned to parent my infant child. You should read The Baby Sleep Book by Dr. William Sears. I would not follow The Baby Whisper. If you plan to parent in the gentle style of trying to be in-tune with meeting your childs needs run far away from this book! Also, I would research Attachment Parenting principles and read The Attachement Parenting book also by Sears.

Actually, I think it was an Australian lady who wrote it. It's all about learning to decipher your baby's different crying sounds and figuring out what they want. My baby days are over, but perhaps I would have bought it if the book existed back then.
