I'm not pregnant and don't have any immediate plans to have kids, but I thought it might be fun to get input from y'all about what I could call a daughter I could have later on. I'd like to choose a name that's relatively easy for speakers of many languages to pronounce, and I'm a pretty religious person. I like the name Eva. Do you have any other suggestions?

My 15 month old has a terrible cold, we have tried everything...humidifier, saline nasal drops, nasal suction, going into the bathroom with the steam from the shower running, tylenol (he has a slight fever), holding him upright...he's still so congested. Any suggestions? How often can you do the saline drops? Is a warm or cold mist humidifier better (and why)? Any help you could offer would be great!

My baby boy who is just one was checked for iron levels and it came up really low. I was given some advice on what to feed him to bring his iron level back up, But I was just wondering what does it really mean when your baby is low on iron. What affects them. Thanks.

Ps. I feel so bad, I really do try to feed my baby food but he is such a picky eater. I had no idea it was so low. I want to kick my self so dam bad for it. :(

My 6 months old baby wakes up every 1-2 hours at night. We can settle him and get him back to sleep by patting him or give him a dummy. How can we stop him waking up so often ?

Going to the doctors soon as I can get an apointment, but just wanted to see whether anyone has had children that have had this and why?Bit worried about it. She's five month's old and I'm slowly weaning her. She had bad runny green poo the other day now it's thicker but with specks of blood. Is this a tummy bug?

What all do you do for your job?
Do you receive "specialty pay" since you are a nursery nurse or are you paid as a RN?
How long have you been in this field?
Pro's and Con's to your job?

My best friend is a wedding/party planner. She did my first baby shower which was little more than streamers that I put up myself and some good food that she prepared. No special desserts, or baby shower games and I had to make the invites and send them out myself. I was pretty upset.

We weren't going to have any more children (or so I thought) so I got rid of all my baby stuff. So I want a shower/BBQ for our couple friends and their kids but gifts are not expected. But I do want a little more celebration like cute cupcakes and decorations to celebration this new life!

How do I tell my friend I want to do it myself? She already said she wants to do the shower - but will be squeezing it in with her busy schedule. I'd rather she just be a guest. What should I do? And is it bad taste to host my own shower even if it's more like a party/bbq with family and friends?
