My doctor suggested the best thing for constipation or hard stools is water. I'd put some water in a bottle and give it to him. I've used bottled water from day one with my little girl.

Good luck and I hope it helps :)

I put a few drops of Karo in every bottle my infant had. When she was older and started baby food, I cut the Karo to the morning and night bottles only. She is now 10 months and mostly eats table food, so the Karo is not needed any more.
