Newborn & Baby - February 2007

I dont know how to forgive him or let it go. I need to just lay it out and see what anyone else thinks. It is probably something stupid to others but to me it is a big deal. So here goes. My sister n law and I were pregnant at the same time(she is my brothers wife.) She had here baby on the 24th of March and She had a little girl I had my baby on the 6th of June and this all happened in 2006. So there is the beginning of the story. First of all this was her first baby and I gave her her baby shower and I spent a good 300.00 dollars on the shower with everything that I did.( and I never even got a thank you but that is something different) But when she had her little girl we went to the hospital to see her baby and when we left they asked us to come back later so that she could get some rest(she had a c-section) So we left and went home well we never got a chance to go back to the hospital so my husband order them pizza and had it deleivered to the hospital. Then the next morning we got up and went back to the hospital to see her and the baby and on the way there my husband stopped at the store and bought the baby an outfit to take to the hospital and he also stopped and got coffee for her and my brother and then we went to the hospital. Now here is my half of hte story I I went to the hospital to get induced(this was baby number 4 for us) I was in labor for three hours and I did it with no drugs then we went to our room and we had lunch then people came to the hospital to visit then we had dinner then time past and then my brother and his wife(the ones that had the baby in march) came to visit and they brough me and the baby nothing. Then after they left my husband decided that he was going to go home and sleep at home(he slept at the hospital with the others) I was fine with that and he said that he would come to the hospital early. Then 9am rolled around and I had to call him and wake him up to come to the hospital. And then he got there and we drank hospital coffee and then we went home and I have been doing everything ever sense. So the problem that I am having is why did he do so much for my sister n law and yet he did nothing for me? I have brought it up to his attention several times and all he says is I am sorry and that I will make it up to you. Well my sone is 7 1/2 months old and he has done nothing for me. So here is the thing if this happen to any woman out there how would you feel? And should I just let it go and act like nothihng happened?

My daughter is almost 5 months old. She has great head control and has been very strong since birth. My question is what age did you take your child on a bike ride. Its cold her now so we would not even think about a bike ride til she is about 7 or 8 months old. We have a seat that attaches to a bike, but were considering buying a pull behind trailer. We only ride on a bike trail. And she has a helmet. What do you think? Would it be okay? Which one would you use the seat or the pull behind trailer? What age did you take your child on a bike ride?

We all know the list of foods we're to avoid throughout pregnancy (lunchmeat, certain fishes, soft cheeses, etc.). Are we supposed to continue avoiding the same things while nursing?

My niece has a 1 month old baby girl and they took her home, and now they spend the nite at her grandmothers house, then they go to the grandfathers house and spend the nite, then they take her home, then back to grandma's house for a couple of days.
Its my opinion the child will not have the familiar safety of the same crib, the same house in the same place every nite, so it will be come like its cousin hard to get to go to sleep. I think a schedule is important and this baby is going to be hauled here, there and everywhere and never get into a routine.
When my kids were babies, they knew what the bedroom meant and when I put them in their crib, they went quickly to sleep, I think it was a learned behavior and the security of knowing they were in their own bed in a familiar place. Am I wrong?
The parents of this baby are not kids, they are 24 and 29 yrs old. They are very immature. I think the baby is going to be packed everywhere and never have the security of home. comments

I haven't had my babies yet, but I plan to fly to California as soon as I an after I have them. I'm sure the doctors will let me know when is okay. But I would like to get a good idea from other mothers who may have tried this? I am having twins so there is a great chance that they are born early (I have already had the hospital scare) If they are unhealthy at ALL I would not take them, but I'm just asking if everything went well and they were healthy. How soon could I take them on an airplane?

My son was born with a head full of dark hair. Therefore, it shows every little thing. It looks like he has a mild case of dandruff. Just little flakes, but enough for it to be treated.

was wondering. What is the earliest some of you all got your child out into public, I guess you would call it. Some people have told me not until after 6 weeks then again, I have a good friend that done that and she regreted it.. cause her son kept getting sick everytime she took him out. What is your opinion in the matter? Stay in until 6 weeks old or go out before? I'm not talking like a shopping trip or trip to the zoo or anything. just the store or something..

I am pregnant and plan on breastfeeding exclusively. I will be returning to work after 6 weeks, and would like to know what kind of bottles are best and most like a breast nipple? I will talk to my doctor and lactation specialist, but I'm just curious as to what has worked for other breastfeeding mothers. Thanks.

...there is this program like yahoo answers that I saw sometime ago and a lady that just put to bed said her husband complained about her being slack down there (if u know what i mean), so I felt really bad, I mean how can a woman go through having birth and her husband tell her that her vi****na is slack!

So I just thought to myself that it will be really depressing to me if my husband tells me that.

So what is the woman to do and also what birth method is the best, CS or the natural method?

My 19 month old preemie sucks her two middle fingers (The I Love You suck) and has done so since 4 months of age when she gave up her pacifier on her own. How do I get her to stop doing this as it's affecting the left side of her body and giving her muscle and neck stiffness to have her head facing that direction all the time as she will turn the direction of her hand.

My baby is 2 and a half months old. Last few days, he seemed to be hungry a lot. He used to go 3 to 4 hours between feeds before but now gets hungry even after 2 and a half hours. In the night, he wakes up more for feeds. I'm still breastfeeding and am on the mini pill. Could that have decreased my milk supply? How do I know if that is so? Or is he just more hungry because he's getting bigger? If so, will my milk supply catch up with his appetite? Should I feed him more often, top up feeds with a little formula, or just feed as normal and give boiled water in between?
