I am pregnant and plan on breastfeeding exclusively. I will be returning to work after 6 weeks, and would like to know what kind of bottles are best and most like a breast nipple? I will talk to my doctor and lactation specialist, but I'm just curious as to what has worked for other breastfeeding mothers. Thanks.

Get playtex nurser bottles. They are the most natural. My baby boy has been nursed during the day and fed from these bottles at night since he was born and I never had a problem with him refusing the bottle or breast.

even though you plan to breastfeed, its not a bad idea to pump at least and introduce a bottle right away, so that you dont make it a challenge when you go back to work, and theres nothing wrong with using a little formula too. you never know you may get in a pinch later on and you cant go back. i have to kids and breastfed both for a year. i pumped and breastfed but wasnt against formula, the first few nights its actually a life saver in the wee hours and if you get sore. i used the avent bottes at first, but then just the traditional evenflow glass bottles. substituting a little formula isnt cheating or bad for your baby. some will say it will confuse them, and im not saying go back and forth, but there are times when you may need it and you shouldnt feel bad. breastfeeding is tough, any little bit of help is great. good luck.

The Playtex bottles are the best I think since the nipples are somewhat similar to the breast nipple and they are disposable bags so not time consuming either. Good Luck...

I only bottle/breast fed one of my children, and I preferred the Playtex ones with the disposable bags. There was less air after you squeezed the bag and the nipples most closely resembled my own. (I mean look at all the baby bottle nipples out there and tell me they all look like your own...not really....)

I like Avent. I think they are great. A little pricey, but I had no problems with my first and intend to use them again with my second. There are, however, other alternatives. Such as cup feeding.

Hope that helps. Best wishes and congrats.

I'd get glass, what with plastics leaching nasty chemicals into their contents.
