She is of German, French, and Italian decent, but Anastasia is Russian, so I am not sure if that is tacky, because she doesn't have any russian ancestry. We plan on calling her Anna.

I was thinking about starting my son on some cerial. Hes 3 months on the 26th. I just dont want my doc to know I started him early when I take him there. His next apointment is March 9th and the doc said we would talk about a new diet then. Should I just wait and see what the doc has to say or should I sneek some solids into this hungry boy of mine?

I just wanted to know what other people thought because its been brought up a few times between us. When I try to get him to help me or stay the night he makes a big deal out of it and I told him I work full time, I have to find the babysitters, and I still get up 7:30 in the morning with the baby and stay awake until 12 sometimes 12:30 untill he goes to sleep. Then I leave for work at 10 and I come back to him. I told him I feel like I'm a single mother sometime.and he gets all mad.He says I'm not a single mother because he comes up and we are engaged. We are engaged so I guess I'm not really a single mom, but I feel like it sometimes, a lot of times.

would you consider yourself a " single mom"? You are the only one working and the only one who takes care of the baby every night.

She seems to be restless at night and sleeps more during the day. Could this be because of the medicine? Is there any reason to be concerned?

Please only answer if your child has taken it.

I see that there was a similar question...anyone goe through this experience? How did your body handle it? I have little boy who is almost 4 months. But it took almost 4 years to get pregnant with him. I think I want to start asap so that they are not too far apart in age. I am more concerned about how my body will handle it. My first labour was 45 hours long with 4.5 hours of pushing. The thought of that again makes me sick to my stomach.

o.k.
i'm starting to feel like my child's daycare is making life more difficult than making it easier, which i always thought was the point of daycare...

here are some things that have happened that i'm a little tiffed about:

-when i was signing registration paperwork i asked if they could mix his formula for him if i brought in empty bottles. example:
i bring him 5 premixed bottles, but he eats them all and needs another. i was told by one person that if i brought in an unopened canister of formula that they would mix it for him. then, on the first day his actual caregivers told me that they aren't allowed to do this... i kind of understand, but i'm ticked about the 2 diff stories.

-my baby spits up ALOT, b/c of his caregivers mentioning it to me on numerous occasions i took him to the ped. the dr and i discussed some ideas to help and one of them was thickening his formula with a little rice cereal. well, i thought his teachers would be happy, but instead i had to go

My little boy is 8 wks old and his forehead and cheeks are really dry and flakey. So much for baby soft skin, he feels like a brillo pad! I've tried olive oil, baby oil and johnson's baby moistureiser but they havent made any difference. I don't use any bath products and use non bio washing powder. His body, arms and legs are fine, its just his face. Does anyone have any other ideas, he's getting christened in 3 weeks time.

I had my last WIC appointment today, and the woman told me that I will not be getting anymore checks for formula after April. My son will be a year old by then, but I obviously need to start weening him off the bottle real soon! The only table foods I've given him so far are grahm crackers, pasta, mac-n-cheese...and that's about it (except for the foods I let him try and he did not like). And is it normal for him to only have his two bottom teeth at 10 months old? I thought he'd have at least 4 by now.

I have heard of people putting a little bit of rice cereal in their babies bottle at night to get them to sleep longer... I was wondering what age people started doing this? I have a 2 and a half month old... can I try this with her yet or no?

I am looking for a comparison of how much other 5 month olds eat and how much they weigh at 5 months. Whether your child is that age now or you remember that info. I hate it when people ask the same question over and over, but I've only gotten a few responses so far on the first question, and I am really concerned about my little girl. She has acid reflux, which we believe is causing her slow weight gain, but why is she eating so much? Even after you take away the amount she spits up, she is taking in more than what I am hearing other babies this age eat. She should be growing. She's 11 pounds. What is causing her to eat more and gain less? Before you answer you can look at my original quesiton, "At 5 months old, how much does your baby weigh, and how much is he/she eating?" to see the responses I have given to those that have been willing to help so far. Please be kind and please help!

My two month old was sleeping for about 6-7 hours and then getting up to eat and going back to bed for about 2 hours. She did this for about a week and now all of a sudden she is only sleeping 3-4 hours, getting up to eat... sleeping another 3 hours... getting up to eat and then going back to bed for about 2 hours. Is there any way to get her to go back to the 6-7 hour span? Or was it just a weird week? We are not doing anything different so I do not understand!? We thought we were getting dangerously close to sleeping through the night with her and now all of a sudden we are back to the beginning! Thanks!

This is completely out of curiousity, but do wet nurses still exist or are there laws relating it to molestation or anything (a stranger putting their breast in a baby's mouth type of thing). Seems if a woman was unable to breastfeed for whatever reason, it would be nice to have the option of breastmilk still available for their baby.

If they do still exist, is it safe? as in are the women screened for disease, or liscensed or anything like that?
