I ate loads of beetroot when I was pregnant too, my baby boy is 8 weeks old now and not a ribena berry!!

As yummy as it was it gave me terrible heartburn, didn't stop me eating it though!

Beetroot and Rennie's - delicious!!

Yummy! I doubt your child will come out like a ribena berry.

You are eating because your body is lacking certain nutrients. The benefits of beetroot (other than being yummy) are:

Beetroot provides a good source of anthocyanadins, a natural antioxidant that contributes to its deep red colour

Extract is a natural source of vitamins and minerals

Beetroot is used traditionally as a blood building food

Beetroot may aid the natural process of elimination and support detoxification processes

Beetroot has liver, spleen, gall bladder and kidney cleansing properties

Beetroot is particularly rich in Vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus and iron

Each capsule provides approximately 1-2mg of elemental iron
The iron contained in beetroot is organic and non-irritating and will not cause constipation

Beetroot is useful in acidosis due to it being rich in alkaline elements

Vacuum packed to enhance stability and shelf life

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans

It's a very funny question! I think in all fairness you should be aware that beetroot can make your motions very loose and they will also be dark red in colour. As far as I know this will not harm your baby in any way providing you don't over do it!
You can call your baby Ruby if it's a girl!!

I am not too sure that will happen, but what I do know is that I gave my son alot of carrot juice as a baby and he had an orange pigment to his skin as my doctor noticed at one of his checkups.

yeah that's what happens, often infants resemble what mother ate during pregnancy. Haven't you seen the chicken children? The bagel kids? Or the famous Pizza family?
