there's similac advanced and isomil advanced. and then there's similac and isomil. both made by russ labs. similac is milk based and the isomils are soy based. the advanced have dha and ara, where the regular simila and isomil do not contain these ingrediants. these ingrediants are found to be in breastmilk, and are thought to aid in eye and brain development. so they added them to the advanced formulas to try and make them closer to breastmilk.
