My two month old was sleeping for about 6-7 hours and then getting up to eat and going back to bed for about 2 hours. She did this for about a week and now all of a sudden she is only sleeping 3-4 hours, getting up to eat... sleeping another 3 hours... getting up to eat and then going back to bed for about 2 hours. Is there any way to get her to go back to the 6-7 hour span? Or was it just a weird week? We are not doing anything different so I do not understand!? We thought we were getting dangerously close to sleeping through the night with her and now all of a sudden we are back to the beginning! Thanks!

she is growing by leaps and bounds. You can not keep pace with her. Just try to see how beautiful she looks when a smile crosses her face intermittently whatever little or whenever longer she sleeps. Your most testing period is about to be over. The next phase will be stupendous for U2 to feel proud in all her activities.

The exact thing happened with my son at 3 months. He actually did sleep through the night (from 9 to 7:30) at 6 weeks. Then at 3 months he would wake up every night twice. I found that he was going through a growth spurt and just started giving him more at a sitting (sometimes he would eat 10 ounces!) So I fed him every 2 hours during the day and always an enitre bottle before bed. No fears I am sure she is growing. He started waking agin at 5 months and we started him on rice ceral before bed and so he slept again. I am sure she is growing, but I understand when you are use to lots of sleep and then your little one wakes, it is strange. I just gave my son bottles untlile he "said no." This worked for us, hope it helps you.

It sounds like a growth spurt to me. This will happen several times throughout babyhood. As long as she goes back to sleep right after eating don't make a big deal about it. My daughter is 4 months and finally starting to think about sleeping through the night....not really since it's almost 4am and I'm still awake lol. Just cherish the week that you had and know that eventually it will come again.

When people say their baby is sleeping through the night it is more accurate to say the baby has slept though the night. It is a phase that babies drift into and out of again. Just when everything seems easy she will start teething or get a cold or ...

Nothing you can do about it but enjoy the extra cuddles

I know easier said than done but I am in your exact shoes with my little girl.

i added cereal to my daughters bottle and it worked for her. but you have to make that decision on your own about your child. every child is not alike so i wouldn't advise this but its ultimately up to you. my daughter ended up with constipation but i just added a little more water and she was fine. i didn't do this to help her sleep, i did this cause i felt she was drinking too much milk too often, but i did seem as though after ward she slept through the night.

Well since she is waking up hungry that should give you a clue right there.
