I'm really freaked out by the weight I'm gaining in pregnancy and would like to hop on the diet train as soon as I'm able. Any ideas as to when this is?

my baby is almost ten months old. she sleeps really well and night, and has been having two sleeps during the day (total of about 3 hours). the last few days she has been fighting the morning sleep, when i try to put her down, she is wide awake and quite happy. definitely not overtired or grizzly. one day she did have a morning sleep but only for 40 mins. yesterday i kept her up and put her to sleep about 12 and she slept for just over two hours. she was fine before and after. did you baby do a similar thing? do you think i should just stick to this routine from now on?
thanks, any feedback would be appreciated

My baby is 8 months old and I still rock her to sleep for her naps & at bed time. I love doing this, but everyone tells me I need to start letting her go to sleep on her own, & letting her cry it out.

It works ok for naps but at bed time or when she wakes up is another story. The problem is I am currently staying with family while my husband is in Iraq and my baby & I share a room, so when she sees me still in there she wont go to sleep.

I don't know what to do, I am so tired now because I sit in the living room for several hours throughout the night letting her cry it out.

HELP! what should I do?

My husband & I are debating if we should do Whole Milk or Soy Milk. If you have any input it would greatly be appreciated.

They both have positves and negatives. So what is your sight?

If you don't have anything nice to say keep it to your self please.

He's three months old and I want to go have drinks with my husband and our friends like we used to before he was born (we're 24) but I can't help but feel guilty. My sister is keeping him for us tonight (it's date night) and I'm so sick of 'being good' but I know that as soon as I start feelin' it I'm going to start feelin' like a bad mom.
Tell me I'm just being silly so I can still enjoy being young..

For instance, mommy is holding the baby and the baby leans towards her daddy with her arms outstretched. When do babies begin doing this (I know all are different, I'm just asking "in general").

I tried to breastfeed my daughter, she will not latch on even with the help of lactation consultants. I feel like crying, almost like I am a failure as a mother. I am now formula feeding her. Have any of you ever experienced this and should I feel this way?

I just gave my 6 month old a sippy cup. My co-worker who has a daughter that same age as mine heard it was bad to give a sippy cup. Anyone else hear anything like that?

I have read articles saying that not having the baby overtired will help. So I have created a bedtime ritual for her. She has 2 naps (about 2hrs each) during the day and go to bed around 8pm everyday. She could fall asleep by herself for each sleep including the naps, the only thing is she keeps waking up. During the night when she wakes up, I would breastfeed plus bottle feed her each time. She takes about 3-4 oz. She couldn't take more than that. It is like an automatic alarm in her mind that she would just wake up exactly 2 hours to have a feed. How could i extend her sleep?
